12oz can. Pours deep amber to ruddy red, medium off white head, some small lacing. Biscuit, cereal, pine, grapefruit aroma. Taste is odd due to the cereal bready malt upfront, and the big spruce pine and grapefruit behind it. Lovely rye spicy grainy texture in the finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours bronze with just shy of a finger of white head. Spicy rye, pepper lead the aroma, with blackcurrant, pine and spiced orange bringing up the rear. Above average lacing and creamy mouthfeel. Sweet cereals and caramel dominate the initial taste, but this is quickly usurped by off sweet citrus peel, musk and orange juice. Rye comes through most in the finish, which gives the beer a nice slight smokey pepperiness, all rounded by a fruity full bitterness

Its a can, an a very expensive one too. 330ml from drinkstore. Cloudy copper-amber pour, nice frothy, creamy off white head, medium lasting. Spicy, fruity nose - dark fruits like raisins and plums abound. Flavour is more of the same, lovely sweet fruitiness and a nice dose of hop bitterness, though not overdone. The dry rye notes come in right at the back. Slick mouthfeel, decent body on it, soft carbonation, long spicy and fruity dry finish. Very nice indeed.

Can. Hazy hazelnut brown with a small tan head. Caramel, light rye notes, citrus, bread. Medium body, oily texture, soft/medium carbonation, medium sweet and bitter. Light/medium bitter finish with light astringency. Kind of straight forward, but ok.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from the Brewery Tap. Caramel/copper, clear with a big creamy beige head. You can detect the rye in the aroma along with a malty caramel/chocolate presence; hop aroma is more muted than I would have expected. Taste is bitter and hoppy with a bit of sweet/umami lingering in the finish. Bitter aftertaste. A crafty recipe but maybe not my favourite.

Can from Rehills Newcastle. Relatively little aroma but big hoppy hit in flavour - bold, bitter, but not over the top. Very very good stuff

New fangled can from Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, reddy, amber. Thin, sticky, white head. Sweet grain. Light toffee. Light, grassy hop. Taste is punchy bitter. Some pithy dryness. Slippery chew on the palate. Harsh, bitter finish.
