8 Ball - Big, Bold & Ballsy
One of our earliest recipes, we wanted to push this big IPA all the way. So we packed it full of Rye and dry hopped it for days with American hops, using old pool balls to weigh the hop sack down in the beer. Hence the name.

Go ahead and sink a few, be rude not to really.

Can bought at Geers. Giving a 5 for appearance because of the can, as I do with all Beavertown's beers. Malty, aged hops, nice round bitterness, it's one that grows on you.

Pours a very faintly fuzzy orange-gold with a small, frothy white foam head. Aroma holds bits of citrus, orange especially, and some lightly toasted malts. Light to medium sweet with light, toasty-doughy malts, orange citrus, very mild piney grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with some mild doughy malts, more orange citrus, very mild earth. It’s exceptionally well balanced, though not terribly hoppy.

Can @ Konttori, Tampere, Finland. Medium aroma with sweet, bit sour peach. Deep orange color with medium white head and hazy liquid. Medium, soft taste with a bit sour peach. A bit artificial nuance. Narrow taste spectrum and medium hoppy aftertaste with sweet malts. Medium palate with medium carbonation. Overall smooth, very distinctive east coast IPA with some sour notes and artificial touch.
