8 Ball - Big, Bold & Ballsy
One of our earliest recipes, we wanted to push this big IPA all the way. So we packed it full of Rye and dry hopped it for days with American hops, using old pool balls to weigh the hop sack down in the beer. Hence the name.

Go ahead and sink a few, be rude not to really.

This had been settling for days, and basically exploded. Fuck that. Had 2 beers by these guys, and the first was shit, so there’s no charity here. Aroma starts with harsh hops. Taste is even more acrid APA-like malts and hops. Mess. Acrid finish. Nope. These guys should not brew Pale Ales of any description, this is 0/2.

Pours cloudy brown with a short lived thin white head. Citrus, hoppy aroma and flavours with a strong malt background. Medium bitter and easy drinking. Very nice, but not spectacular.

Can at home. The colour is dark amber and is quite unclear. Has also a creamy, compact, off-white head. Sudden fruity aroma with lots of hops, grapefruit, pine, lime, rye bread, caramel and harpix. The flavour is also pretty malty with more grassy hops, pine, roasted malt and some caramel. A little dry in the end. Has a rich and soft mouth feel. A really tasteful and malty IPA. Well hopped as well.

Taste is slighty harsh foresty, bark, pine needles, soil, moss, hops, soap, leafs, lawn, light malts. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Buonissima!
