Nearly black, huge, fluffy offwhite head. Aroma has pine, resin and citrus. Chocolate and caramel flavour with solid pine bitterness. Quite well balanced.

Tactile little black can of course. Ink-coloured with a yellow tan head curtained with lace. Cranberry, blueberry and coal aroma. Good juicy, eminently belchworthy green stem, strawberry chew and lavender hop character mildly eclipsed with fire alarm toast, burnt pistachio and bitter chocolate.

A small taste @ One Pint Pub. Pours very dark red with a low tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and hops, almost acetonic. Flavor is soft roasted malts with grapefruit and hops. Nice.

Appearance: Burgundy body, nice tan head
Aroma: Dark fruit, citrus, pine, mild roasted malts
Taste: Great flavour for a Black IPA, berries, tropical fruit, pine, aniseed, and very mild roasted malts
Palate: Medium body, good bitter finish

Good one. I’ve tried cask conditioned. Beer is perfectly smooth, has a perfect aroma, great bitterness. But the mouth feel is rather poor. Too watery.

Canned, Rheged, Penrith. Gorgeous fresh pine and caramel aroma. Jet black, huge foaming head. Sweetness and earthiness coming together really well, soft, creamy palate, late chocolate in the finish with roast notes coming through. Cracking.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown with a beige head. Nice aroma of fruity, piney and "green" hops, and roastiness. Flavor is roasty and hoppy, piney, fruity, a bit "green", with nice bitterness. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff.

At a tasting, thanks, big bubbly of white head, cloudy dark brown color, aroma of pine, shrubs and some sand, flavor of coffee and chocolate with a piney shrubby bitterness and a light sweetness. Fair, expected much more.

Can @ home from Dekoninck, Vichte - BE. Color: deep black beer with no carbonation and medium brown head. Smell: very grassy domination. The beer is dominated by hops, with a good malt balanced. Very expressive nose. Taste: nice hoppy and malt balance with grassy notes. Small licorice notes and herbal finish. Very good IPA. Aftertaste: bitter sweet finish. One of the best black IPA that I have ever taste and also easy drinkable ! Good job !!!
