All In Beerfest 2015: Aroma of grapefruits and roasted malts. Taste is perfectly balanced with a lean towards the maltier side. The brewer excused himself with the keg was getting a bit older, but I don’t mind. This one was perfectly balances and carried some earthy tones underneath a good hoppiness.

Can from Bottlecraft, Hanley. Pours black brown with a tan head. Whoosh, in yer face hops. Hop overload but well balanced. Maybe a bit boozy for a school night...Cracker.

Pint on tap @ Biercab, served in Shaker glass. Smells very citrusy with a roasted malt touch. Taste is citrus, orange and coffee. Moderately bitter on the palate, very coffee-like actually. Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is ok. Nice easy going Black IPA, doesn’t taste like 7.4% ABV at all.

330ml can served in a tulip glass. Pours a dark brown color forming a medium and solid beige head. Medium retention and only few lingering lacings left in the glass. Strong perfume of hops. Grass, flowers, resin, orange zest and tropical fruits. Dark chocolate, wood and roasted malts. Slightly sweet upfront which becomes quickly quite grassy and bitter. Again, strong notes of dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee beans. Hops are a mix of grass, resin, citrus, orange zest, tropical fruits and pine. Good and persistent hops bitterness. Medium body. Good carbonation. Roasted and grassy aftertaste. Excellent drinkability. One of the best Black IPAs I’ve ever had.
