Nose is is toast, butter, biscuits, lemon, slight cream. Taste leads with pine, and grapefruit from the citra, leading through to licorice herbs smoke, ash, coco, pepper and roasted malt. Finish is long bitter and very dry, balancing the pine with ash. Mouthfeel is rich. Very nice beer. Still a stupid concept though.

McWorta (768) - LUXEMBOURG - MAR 5, 2015
Dark brown - black (~80EBC) with a dark ruby red hue offering a medium frothy light beige head with good lacings. Notes of pine, spruce and resin with faint roasted malts aromas and a light tropical fruit note. Offers mainly bitter flavours of roasted malts, subtle coffee notes and a certain dried earthy/woodiness with a subtle fruity hint developing some astringency. Soft fizzyness with a light slick texture and a medium body finishing after a while. Interesting and palatable.

>> Clear sepia pour, thicker, rocky beige head. Intense woody, sappy nose, grilled lemon, heavy roast. Taste is woodsy hops, bitter dark cocoa, dry and intense, aggressive, drinkable, fun beer all around and spot on for Black IPA.

Can from Beermoth. Pours dark brown with red tint, single finger off white, creamy head. Aroma of Pine, Citrus, Lemon, Orange....chocolate, coffee. Taste of initial pine, then a real earthy hit, chocolate and coffee, then caramel, toffee, citrus, lemon, orange, pineapple, grapefruit, lychee. A great, great beer!

2/19/15. Can sampled during RBWG 2015. Deep brown pour with a small tan head, mild lacing. Good aroma, a bit of pine, citrus, earthy, caramel, mild coffee and ash. Okay flavor, char, citrus, earthy, pine. Not bad.

0,33l can. Black, caramel head. Rather mild hoppy aroma with a very mild hint of licorice. Pretty nice. Astringent, fresh. Like a blend of porter and IPA. Might be my imagination due to thr name and colour, though. Quite good. Good mix.

Pours a black beer with a medium beige head. Smells hoppy, citrus, pinaple, lychee, chocolate. Tastes bitter. Big palate, non alcoholic. Leaves a gentle hop bitter. For a black ipa it lacks some malt bitterness.
