This Stout has a load of late hop additions to bring that zest and poke to the nose. Beautiful delicate coffee and chocolate notes lie in the smooth character of the malts.

Deja vu having already reviewed this andd my wanky laptop freezing up and making me force quite and lose it .... grrrr. Bottle split at JFís, from Sourced, 23/08/13. Very dark mahogony brown/faded black with a mahoosive light tan head that retains well. Nose is roast malt, mineral notes, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises roast malt, light coffee bean, cocoa dusting, minerals, earthy, background hop presence. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Really good stout!

Bottle from Sourced Market in St Pancras Station, London. Poured a thick, viscous black colour with a dense tan head. Aroma of burnt malt, blackcurrent and dark chocolate. Velvet mouth feel. Flavours of dark fruit, roasted malt, molasses. Finished with burnt malt and hop bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle from Utobeer. Pours near black with a small, firm off white head. Nose shows heavy powdered chocolate, as it warms some light espresso comes out to play with some hoppy bitterness. Taste is focused on a great balance between dry chocolate, roast, and bitter espresso undertones. Almost dirty and earthy in a pleasing manner. Very balanced and dry. I like it

Dark black with a ruby glint on the periphery with darkish tan head, lasting ringed vibe. Big percolator coffee boot to the nose, relentless dark malt. Cheap malty milk chocolate left in the microwave too long than thoroughly roasted. Snappy iced latte bite, but with well melted ice cubes - soft but more and more uninviting after the halfway pint. Quivering Radiator oily mouthfeel, impressively rolled for the ABV involved, with a solid bitter finish.

Nice artwork on the bottle. Guy in the shop said that this is an íamazing porterí, so I was sold by the art and the hype he gave it. A gusher. Black with a big foamy head that endures. Smells yeasty, ash, some background chocolate. Taste has lots of smoke and ash, which I like, but itís a bit one-dimensional. Some sharp floral hops in the late aftertaste. Flavour improves a lot after 10 minutes of air. Body is a bit thin, foamy. Itís a pretty good porter, but nothing amazing.

Aroma and taste of burnt coffee. Quite low carbonation and good mouthfeel. A solid stout but i would have appreciate a little more complexity.

Dark and thick body, with a reddy-black colour with a thick brown tan head. Aroma of roasted, current and cocoa. tastes of berry fruit, roasted malt, and alcohol. Finishes with a stern bitterness

Bottle. Pours black with a small, dark latte-colored head with large bubbles. Aroma is roast, lots of it. Coffee and liquorice too, mostly coffee, a light bread is detectable as well. Taste is roasty and coffee. Slight liquorice and slight dark fruitiness. A lot of roast, slight bread and some grapefruit on the finish, citrus too. Medium with some carbonation. Alright and enjoyable if a bit forgettable.
