COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bloody ‘Ell – We have never brewed a straight IPA at Beavertown, why change the habit of a lifetime! Here we take a stripped back IPA malt bill and highly hop it with the tropics of Amarillo and Citra and pile head on with kilos of Blood Orange zest and juice late in the boil, bringing you a smack of citrus and hints of warm orange aromas. One of our favourite and most popular seasonal brews. We will be canning Bloody ‘Ell too from February until the bloody oranges run dry!

Mycket grumlig och gråbrun. Inte särskilt apelsinig, utan med traditionell ipa.

Hazy yellow brew with good creamy white top. Aroma has hops, pine, citrus as oranges and mandarines. Tastes orange-resin, mandarine-pine, rubber caramel, fruity hops, juicy malts - leading to a resiny juicy finish. Solid body, soft carbonation, perfect on palate. Good IPA. Can from Raynville Superstore in Armley, Leeds. Froffy head when poured, looks the part. Citrus and hops on the nose. Packed with citrus taste. Hops, malt and strong overtones of orange peel. Can’t believe it’s 7.2%, very drinkable and a real favourite of mine.

First things first there is no taste of orange in this beer. Very little aroma, but nice golden appearance. Good malty leafy taste with gentle aftertaste. Good beer. 330ml Can bought in Booths Supermarket

330ml can at the Head of Steam, Durham. Pale cloudy orange pour with a frothy white head. Strongly hoppy aroma with pale orange. Blood orange is apparent in the flavour, as well as hoppy bitterness and generic citrus sharpness. Not as zesty as expected, but pleasant nonetheless.

Chilled 330ml can at Olvinos Newcastle. Big tropical aroma, and then a purely delicious burst of citrus, greenery tea, juicy tropical fruit on the tongue. Pure taste explosion, really naughty.

I know a lot of people like this, but I wasn’t too keen. The blood orange is quite subtle and I found it to be a bit astringent and sort of a pine\grass like on the aftertaste wasn’t that pleasant. I would try it again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
