Bottled, special.
Tobacco and burnt toffee nose. Viscous almost gelantinous. Smooth velvety mouthfeel. Tastes treacle, liquorice, smokey dark fruit.

tried at colonna and hunter, bath. thick black colour with w tan head. Roasted malt aroma with chocolate, vanilla and cherry. mid sweet taste to a roasted bitter finish.

From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Dark brown almost black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, caramel, licorice, wood, smoked notes. Sweet and biter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Pours out like treacle with a thick cocoa head. Aroma is tobacco and roasted malts with a hint of vanilla. This is a very thick beer. A little salted caramel, some chicory and a slight tangy finish.

on tap at mikkeller and friends. pretty damn close to black with next to no head; aroma hints at rolling tobacco, terriyaki, toffee apple; thick texture; plenty of bitterness, hints of stonefruit, caramel, soy. plenty going on but doesn’t sit together perfectly

Bottle. Black body with nearly no tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with dried fruits and toffee with some vanilla. Taste is vanilla cherries with roasted malts and some salt. Aftertaste is also malty with roasted malts bitterness and some salt. Complex and very nice. Like this.

Clear reddish dark brown beer, small creamy beige to brown head, bit adhesive, little stable. Aroma: very roasted, bit dusty, lots of coffee, sweet touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sourish start, roasted, bitter touch, coffee, bit of vegetables. Aftertaste: greenish, bitter, roasted, ok but a little weird.

Draught at Irreale, Madrid, 8.3.2015 Black with a tan head. Raisins, chocolate and some iodine aroma, a little roasty, bitter, tons of coffee in the mouth. Smooth and full body, delicate roasty finish, chocolate aftertaste.

Pours black with a medium frothy mocha head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, muscovado sugar, cherries, slight vanilla. Taste is chocolate, coffee, muscovado sugar, salt, cherries, slight vanilla. Slight metallic aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a bit thin with medium carbonation.

Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours pitch black with a small creamy tanned head.Inviting aroma of roasted malts, coffee and liquorice. Smooth creamy weak roasty mouthfeel.Taste is light sweet dark malts, red ripe fruits, moderate bitter coffee with a solid strong liquorice presence, nice one indeed.
