Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to Josh. Pours dark brown with a frothy brown head. Good dark malt nose, some dirt, roasted coffee, burnt cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, plenty of bittersweet chocolate, coffee grounds, bitter earth, toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, plenty of bitter earth, coffee, baking cocoa, restrained booziness. Lingering baking cocoa. Great beer overall.

Fra kran på Grünerløkka Brygghus i hyggelig selskap med Halvor. Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som daler sakte. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken lakris, sjokolade & litt kaffe. Innholdsrik. Ettersmak av kaffe.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate. Taste - incredibly intense chocolate in milk and dark terms. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - on boy, lovely balance.

Can from Kensington Whole Foods drank at home, 27/12/15. Filthy tan on tar beer. Nose huge grilled veg, seawater, sicked gateau, salted black cherry. Tongue-wrapping saline Bovril flecks on dark cherry. Fine thick sweetness and scattered salt. Complex long Twiglet licks then burnt peanut butter on burnt toast. Yeah not bad.

33cl Bottle thanks to Saeglophur (Secret Summer Santa 2015) Appearance: Black body with a tinney tanned head. Aroma is roasted malts with red fruit, and toffee with some vanilla. Taste: Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and some sal. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Cherries implementation seems to stick to the arroma.

A solid go to when on tap, this pours heavy and sits sweet on the tongue. Overall enjoyable and exactly what you would expect from Beavertown.

1/3 pint, hanging bat, keg. Pours black with a light tan head subsiding quickly. Scent is medium toasted malt. Taste is dense fruits and dense toasted malt with light smokiness and very strong body. Finish is dry and plain. Good. Quite complex, too much for me in this state. Maybe great. Great.

Poured from a can, thick black, with a dense tan foam. Tobacco and toffee aroma, there is enough cherry fruit to cut through this, to clear the alcohol away. Not the most intense impy stout, but a pretty easy drinking one.
