COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This vividly flavoured stout is a great example, with powerful piny hoppy notes melding with chocolate and oozy brown malt and wafts of tropical fruit on the aroma.

Bottle shared at the brewery. Opaque black color, medium to full sized lightly brown head that lasts for a long time. Aroma has malts, coffee, liquorice. Something in the aroma annoys me, but I can’t really tell what it is. Taste malts, lightly roasty, liquorice again, lightly coffee. Don’t know what to think of this beer, I like it but at the same time I don’t.

This is a really fruity tasty stout thay has a fantastic balance to it’s carbonation whilst leaving a beautifully velvety afterraste. This must be tried.

Bottle at home. Pours a dark brown black with an off white head. Aroma is choc, citrus, coffee, grass... Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Its zesty and fizzy and deep and rich and there is coffee and choc and zingy citrus candy... Balance is just perfect. Good stuff.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

Pours pitch black with a thick light brown head. Aroma of lovely roastiness, chocolate, coffee beans, mocha, piney hops, grass and zesty citrusy notes. Taste is a mix of fruitiness and roastiness, with some chocolate and coffee notes. Finish is roasty, heavy and ashy with some fruity notes, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Some lingering bitterness, too. Pretty nice, quite roasty black IPA. Yet another awesome beer from these guys.

330ml bottle from Cornelius. Pours near-opaque dark brown, thick beige head. Aromas of pine and dark chocolate, touch of baked lemon. Taste is more chocolate and pine bitterness. Rich mouthfeel. Creamy texture. Lacks a bit of stout roastiness for me, but a very nice beer nonetheless.

Yet another awesome beer from Beavertown. Roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate and hint of dark fruit. The balance between bitterness and sweetness is just spot on. Heavenly.
