This vividly flavoured stout is a great example, with powerful piny hoppy notes melding with chocolate and oozy brown malt and wafts of tropical fruit on the aroma.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2016 Chocolate and coffee all the way of the aroma, a nice dark color with a great design. Drank it from can. A great taste of hop and caramel.

Citrus, fruit and bit sweet aroma, black color with a medium head. Roasted malt, cafe, sour taste, leaves roasted cafe aftertaste...

BD57, june 20th 2015. Black body, tanned head. Aroma is roasty with piney hops. Taste of malt, chocolate, with a light fruity note. Itís good but it feels like somethingís missing. Maybe Iím just used to Beavertown having more exciting beers than this. Notable bitterness, grassy and roasted finish.

Aroma of caramel, sweetened nuts, butterscotch, pine. Taste is Bitter/Sweet, v.good. Almost like a milk stout crossed with a black ipa! A staple beavertown beer, which is always good

Can from Beersínímore. Ah, finally a hoppy BIPA again. Lots of dark roast malts, a solid refreshing hops note, with a decent carbonation and a fizzy texture balancing out everything while making it nice and fresh. Good brew!

Many thanks to Mark for sharing this can! Pours a dark amber/brown with a tan head. The smell is big burst of green hops, roasted malt. The taste is green hops, citrus, roasted malt ending dry. Light/medium in body with average carbonation.

330ml can from Beer Cartel, Sydney. Poured a deep, near opaque brown with an initially one-finger but fading tan to light brown head. Aromas of piney, resinous and grapefruity hops intertwined with coffee, chocolate and roasted malt characters. It shouldnít work but Iím happy it does. Similar to taste with the hop profile taking the fore up front then progressing to a dry, roast- and coffee-dominant back-palate that lingers well into the finish. Mid-weight with soft to medium carbonation and a medium to full length and intensity finish. Great.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2016 From trade with minutemat, thanks! Straight from the can (train beer), a lovely roasty and hoppy black ipa. Roast, espresso, light smoke, bit of mocha, pine and citrus. Great stuff.

Can. Black with huge brown foam. Strong aroma of raw espresso with a hoppy touch. Bittersweet taste with hoppy floravqnd raw espresso blending perfectly with a few light. chocolate notes. Finishes with a lasting coffee aftertaste.

Smokey, roasty, hoppy aroma. Smokey and roasty taste with some bitterness up front. Very full bodied. Interesting.
