COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION The Bollywood of beers. We wanted to build a recipe which really pushed the love affair between dark malts and hops. So we designed the brew around allowing the hops to sing on top of a dark malt bomb. We aimed to brew an almost dark chocolate-like base beer and then piled on with the tropics of summit and centennial hops, lifting the waves of smooth chocolate off the tongue. We categorise Holy Cowbell as an India stout. ‘India’ coming from the same meaning behind ‘India’ pale ale. Basically lots and lots of hops added in their masses at the end of the boil and then in dry hop, to extract maximal hop flavour and aroma!

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2016 330ml can. Pours black. Aroma is bitter dark chocolate and toast. Flavour is bitter, but not bitter hops. Instead it’s bitter chocolate and coffee. This is more a stout than a black IPA, but that’s fine with me.

I’ve had this beer a few times and it never disappoints. Pours black with a nice head. The crossing of styles delivers this fantastic Pine nose and up front taste, crossed with the classic Stout burnt malts. Great length and very enjoyable

16/20 A stout with loads of flavour - lightly roasted coffee which isn't too overpowering and lots of hops. Had a faint milky feel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned. 330ml sample. The aroma has light roast, milk chocolate, coffee, some citric hops. Black coloured beer with a medium, beige head. The taste is roasty, mild bitter with citric fruitiness and a smooth mild finish. Low-average carbonation. Easy drinking beer. Pretty solid.

Cerveza color negro azabache.

(Beavertown Holy Cowbell India Stout) Can 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5.6% Dark brown colour on the body, with a huge and thick beige head, very good retention. Nice aroma of citrusy hops, grapefruit, followed by roasted malts, cold coffee. Taste is more on the stout side, roasted malts, cold coffee, dark chocolate, with some citrus, grapefruit and even some pine. Medium body with good carbonation. Pretty good.

Sampled at SBWF 2015. Small lingering brown head. Nice clear red brown color. Roasted malts with chocolate and fresh hop aroma. Roasted malts with big hop taste for a stout. Dry finish.
