In mid 2013 the brewery altered their recipe for this beer, changing it from a bitter to a pale ale. (The RateBeer entry for the bitter is now retired.)

Pours a pale gold ith short lasting white head. Spicy and herbal hop aromas with a clean malt base. Grassy (overly extracted) and herbal hop flavor. Light body and an herbal finish.

11.1.2015. Clear pale yellow. Aroma of malts, citrus, zest, exotic fruits. Taste is mild with malts and citrus hops. Solid for the abv.

Aromas promise fruit salad and grass. What I got is an overly offensive bitterness with no discernible or standard flavour. Just a heap of bitterness. Low carbonation also which emphasises the lack of flavour.Disappointing.

Countbeer (4969) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 25, 2015
Can (33cl): Served in a shaker at 13 degrees Celsius: Medium sized white sticky foamy head. Hazy bright yellow colored beer. Aromas of hops, hop flowers and some hop fruits, light asperagus/manure tint. Flavour is hoppy, bitter, cactus, hop floral and herbal hop tones, hint of hop fruit, light but good hoppy... Aftertaste is more bitter than in the taste nice hop tones, floral, light fruity... Low carbo, between watery/creamy mouthfeel, just medium bodied. Nice stuff!

Keg at Woody’s in Kingston. Hazy yellow with a big fluffy head. Light hop, citrus, biscuit, drinkable and enjoyable but not really exciting enough to warrant the price tag.

330ml can from ales by mail. Poured a hazy pale straw colour with towering bubbly white head. Aroma is citric and hoppy. Taste is grassy, herbal with a bitter finish on the palate. Decent session beer.

beer-yum (709) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 18, 2015
Alluring citrus fruity aroma in slightly cloudy light gold liquid. Taste is very well balanced for such a light body. Finish is similarly restrained, smooth, and enjoyable.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 17/20
Cunningham (5154) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 15, 2015
Lovely unclear yellow color with a fine big white head. Nice lacing. Rich citric hoppy, pine and mild fruity flavor. Nice body with a fine fresh bitterness. Average carbonation. Rich citric hoppy, mild tropical fruity and mild pine in the flavor. Spot on session ale!
[Can from a local Meny grocery store in Halden, Norway]
