COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In mid 2013 the brewery altered their recipe for this beer, changing it from a bitter to a pale ale. (The RateBeer entry for the bitter is now retired.)

330ml can from Favourite Beers. Hazy pale yellow colour with a one-two finger white head. Aroma is citrussy, orange peel, mango, grapefruit, lemon, floral. The taste is exactly the same, the hop bitterness is fairly low. Crisp, refreshing, light. Quite sessionable, although at £3 a can... yeah, I have seen it cheaper online though.

On tap at Samuel Jones. Exeter. Hazy golden pour with small white head. Light body with pleasant carbonation. Citrus and grapefruit with a great hoppy finish.

Can from Salthorse, Edin. Pours pretty pale with a very slightly green ting. Fast fading head. Ok lacing. Sweet tropical fruit aroma. Very juicy. Sweet marmalade. Lemon sherbet. Slight black pepper spice hiding at the back there. Taste is off-sweet to start. Ripe tropical juiciness. Cracker-like drying quality. A little lenient with the bittering but it’s nearly there for my taste. Slick finish with decent length. Easy on the palate. Pillowy carbonation. A little spritz also. A bit thin in body though. Clean finish. Great session beer. Many would go down a treat.

Canned 33cl. Color : hazy yellow ale with thin white head. Nose : citrus, pinus and floral. Aromas : pinus and resin, malt. Watery texture , low carbonation, bitterness is too low in my opinion. An interesting ale, but not really an IPA.

CAN. (straight from can). Seemed a clear to hazy straw with minimal foaming once opened.. Sweet citrus hop aroma, passionfruit & pineapple prominent.. Crisp & fruity hop balance throughout, fresh hop cone presence at back end, sweet and easy.. Sourced Cape Cellars

Bright yellow-golden colour with a frothy white head. Aromas of grapefruit, mini-oranges, passionfruit and some resin at the back end develop. Lightly carbonated, bright-thin texture and a light body, which leaves room. Crisp overall lightly sweet with a well hoppy fruity bitterness. Short light dry finish.

Poured a very cloudy pale colour with a generous head. Light and citrusy on the palate with a hint of hops. Pleasant drinking.

Draft at Ship and Mitre. Clear yellowish-white color with a brighter white head and decently strong lacing. Bit of a lemon dish soap thing going on here. Too much carbonation. Finishes dry. Not my favorite.
