In mid 2013 the brewery altered their recipe for this beer, changing it from a bitter to a pale ale. (The RateBeer entry for the bitter is now retired.)

Can @ joes. Hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Smells very hoppy, very fruity, very nice. Tastes hops, fruity, fresh, nice. Thin body, soft carbo.

Nice US IPA citrus fruit (Mango? Peach? Blood Orange?) + pine nose. Light, crisp, short bitter end. These two things together make this beer dangerously sessionable! Despite the name, much less oil-y than their Black Betty IPA (which has similar fruit, but also much caramel malt, on the nose).

An absolute sessioner: 330ml can served in a half glass at home, outdoor temp. Dirty gold, with a proud white head. Tropical and greenery aroma. Tropicals, grapefruit, peanut butter, big biter smack on the finish. Lovely beer, made to be quaffed.

Pretty decent. Fairly standard flavours for a session IPA, but nicely balanced. Citrus, pine, light malt, hints of tropical fruit. Moderate bitter finish.

Draught at BarVolo. Nice hop bouquet, orange citrus and fresh pine, light malt base, dry hoppy finish. Good stuff, pretty hoppy and definitely sessionable.

Can from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Hazy gold pour with a white head. Tangerine, peach and mango aroma. Nice bitter/sweet fruit balance in the flavour. Quite a refreshing number. Good stuff.

330ml can. Very pale in colour. A refreshing pale ale, hoppy aromas and a citrus finish with a short bitterness. One of the best "session" IPAs I’ve tried.

Can from The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a clear pale golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of mango, grapefruit, peach, a little lemon, slight toasted malts and subtle grassy hops. Taste of mango, peach, a little grapefruit, subtle toasted malts and slight grassy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A short, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. A nice session IPA, very citrusy, mostly sweet with a little bitterness near the end. However the finish is short.
