COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In mid 2013 the brewery altered their recipe for this beer, changing it from a bitter to a pale ale. (The RateBeer entry for the bitter is now retired.)

@ Bishop Marina. Väldigt fruktig men balanserade dovhet i aromen. Balans i krippen i te som spretar, humle.

Can from Beer Gonzo at curry house opposite, 19/09/14. Impressively mucked blonde from the tin heaped rockily with suds. Massive aromatic nose awaft with lemon zest, sweaty greenery, mango, dragon fruit and pine. Big solid greasy monkey nut malt base capped exotically with all manner of curry leaf, lime and guava excitement. Top brew. Beating the Americans at their own game.

September 9, 2014 - my 330ml can from Craft Beer Co Clapham, shared with blankboy, jercraigs and mabel. Cloudy very pale yellow, average white foamy head. Love that aroma pungently floral, perfume even, light malt and alcohol simple and very good. Taste follows, lighter, with lemongrass, nice and dry. Average everything, medium dry floral finish - not amazing, but amazingly drinkable - another bucket of this, please!!

On tap @ The Local Pub, Athens Greece. Pale amber, slightly hazy, with a nice thin white head. Aromas of hops, pine, grass, some citrus, some breadiness on the back. Taste is pretty much the same, with the fruits having the dominant role. Mango, lemon, orange, citrus. Light body with low to medium carbonation

Can from Bottle Apostle, Clapham. Opaque hazy amber, huge white foam head. Nose is huge hit of pithy grapefruit citrous, some phenols, very very subtle rubber, minerals. taste is very chalky and flinty minerals, big grapefruit citrous kick, mixture of pithy, rind and juice, lots of grapefruit rind, nettles, green hop leaves, pine. Bit of nylon and rubber on the taste but doesn’t spoil it. Lots of bitterness.
