33cl bb2/2015, ta idiosaisonkrasie! Near golden yellow pour, generous froth. Strikes an expert balance between dry saison fruitiness, a quenching level of attentuation and soapy exotic dryhop at a sessionable abv. Hints of chalky peach blossom and hand soap in aroma are ideally transformed into a pleasing pollen bitterness, orchard fruit peel and unripe mango, grapefruit zest contouring more herbal grasses and supporting gentrified funk. Hop profile going on APA. Expert execution makes up for a slight lack of unique terroir character.

Big white head. Clear yellow body with fast carbonation. Spicy citric cedar wood aroma with mealy notes. Dry resiny strawy fruity taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dry papery spicy aftertaste with herbal notes. It’s ok, but low on flavour and too dry and sharp. (0.33l bottle, forget where from.)

Dirt cheap discounted takeout from Craft Beer Co. Brighton, 01/01/15. Handsome yellow can attractive to the touch. Maybe my new favourite beer. Pissed on flowers, tomato vine, Jelly Tot bouquet reinforced with soapy shower gel hop and almost smoked chaffy malt in the mouth. Hint of peppery spice and crackers. Saison in the loosest possible sense. Magnificent.

Draft at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa in Rome. Cloudy gold with a firm white head. Strong American hop aroma impression is tropical / melon-like, yeast is strongly doughy, lightly musty and phenolic. Medium-light body with a lightly sweet approach turning stark and quick across the middle, drying / bitter finish is watery and thin and short. It’s strongly bitter and fruity in the way of American Session IPA and not at all like traditional Belgian Saison.

A vége száraz, picit savanykás, élesztős, kellemes. Fasza!

A bit hazy straw yellow color, big white head. Apricots, fruity scent, hoppy. Apricots, dry, herbal taste. Apricots aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Aroma is funky, spicy and hoppy with loads of grass and lemon. Taste is really fruity and refreshing, with the saison yeast marrying the hop bitterness really well in the finish. This hoppy little saison was really good, and makes me even more interested of trying their other beers.

Beavertown’s Quelle Dry-hopped Saison is a can I picked up in Rome, one of the few cans of craft beer I saw there. Served in a tulip. It pours a deep gold with a huge fluffy white head that leaves spidery lacing behind. Great nose, funk, spice & hops - yum. Very sharp carbonation on a light body with a super dry finish(dryer than any Asahi!). Crisp & refreshing, spice, funk, a touch of metallic Brett like character, some cream ale notes and soft hoppiness. Good stuff.

Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of herbal hops with a hint of citrus, along with spicy saison notes. Dry and hoppy flavour with a good spicy character. Nice bitter finish
