On Keg at Ox 184. Pour dark with a just off white head. Peat smokiness though not heavily pronounced. Chocolatey malty smokey experience, though neither dominating. A nicely balanced brew with just the right sweetness and hop character. At 5.4 % perfectly scoffable too. Just right.

Can from lescar, sheffield. Black with small tan head. Aroma is a bit farmy coupled with a smoky chocolate and a touch of soy. Taste is surprisingly sweet with mild ashy bitterness. Nice full body but a bit heavy on the carbonation for me, maybe better out of a bottle. Good stuff.

I love craft cans and this is not only a great beer, bit also a great looking can! Black bodied and medium head. Dry smoke, chocolate, cacao nips, rye bread. Herbal and modern hops. Great mouthfeel, really lifting up the full taste of dark malts and alive smoke. Brilliantly made! (33cl can from Refector Northern Monk)

Pours a clear, near black redish brown with a brown head that recedes quickly, but provides good lacing. Lightly smoky and rubbery phenol aroma with some fruit. The two components don’t quite meld well. Flavours bring much more (savoury) smoke. Fruity esters complement this time along with some creamy sweetness and chocolate in the finish. Full bodied with a chewy texture.
