Smog Rocket Smoked Porter - Thick, dark & Robust
Inspired by the Industrial Revolution and the Steam Train.
Back in those days, the Porter was the everyday toast of the working-class masses. Let’s raise a glass to the people that made Britain ’Great’.

Porter. The way it’s meant to be.

Süß malziger, angenehm rauchiger Antrunk. Schokoladiger, etwas herber Mittelteil, zunehmend trocken. Zum Ende malzig-rauchig-bitter. 10/8/9/8/12/8

Can, birthday present from Lakshmi. Poured brown black, high carbonation, rapidly vanishing head. I couldn’t really get into this beer, it was smoky, a little bit roasted, ok finish. A little boozy actually. Nice enough but I couldn’t get excited.

Lovelly porter with a subtle smoke aroma and flavour, with a wonderful developing flavour that lingers. I think this would be great with cured meat or kippers and eggs. Wonderful.

Poured from the can to produce a dark brown beer and a beige head. Chocolate, nuts, oily texture, smokey flavours come through at the end.

DAA; Bottle 330ML. Pours black with a small to moderate, lasting, creamy, lacing and tan head. Nose is heavy roasted, smoked malt, coffee, vanilla chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is moderate sweet and light bitter with a somewhat lasting, smoked finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a small off-white head. Nose is licorice, leather, dark fruits, toffee and hints of burnt rubber, smoke and chocolate. Taste is coffee, ashes, chocolate, mild licorice, caramel and hints of smoke, burnt rubber and leather. Light body, soft to medium carbonation. A bit strange, and not quite as smoky as to make an impression. I’ve had better from Beavertown. Bad bottle, perhaps?

Pours dark coffee color with a strong light brown head from a can. Nose has roasty coffee aromas and a complex smoky character. Taste follows suit with a rather nondescript palate. A nice, if not superb smoked porter.

Bottle @ RBBSG III. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is smoke, BBQ, fire lighters. The taste is surprisingly much less smoke (but there’s still some evident), roasted malt,, hint of caramel with a dry finish. Loved the taste much more than the aroma.
