Smog Rocket Smoked Porter - Thick, dark & Robust
Inspired by the Industrial Revolution and the Steam Train.
Back in those days, the Porter was the everyday toast of the working-class masses. Let’s raise a glass to the people that made Britain ’Great’.

Porter. The way it’s meant to be.

Shared a 33cl can on 17/06/2015 in Leicester. Almost black colour with a thick tan coloured head. Medium body and soft carbonation. A lovely smoked aroma, with chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Sweetish malt flavour, smokey coffee, dark chocolate, lightly spiced. Creamy, smooth with a slightly bittersweet aftertaste. Excellent.

As black as proverbial with a collar of thick latte coloured head. There’s a hue of burnished rosewood in the dimple of the glass and in inkling of carbonation bubbles. There’s a suggestion of plum and woodsmoke in the glass in dark maltiness. Those flavours of licorice, plum sauce and rosewood come through in the flavour. It’s a tasty wee devil this and I think a pint would pass the ever so important second pint test. Yes, I’d like another.

Leathery, dark malt nose. Some subtle smokey tones. Nice tan head with slight lacing over very dark beer. Dense, smooth mouth feel with good carbonation. Roast malt flavour with a balanced herbal hop angle. Dry smokey biscuit finish. Enjoyment increased as the flavours seemed to mellow and blend in my mouth. Very nice

Exquisite. Chocolate aromas followed by a mocha flavour that washes across the palate. Finally the smokey kick in the tail finishes things off. The can says it is the drink that made Britain great. Made in Norway.... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle; pours dark brown with a beige head; aroma is smoky with some hints of chocolate, coffee, and roast malt; taste is chocolate, roasted malt, and hints of smoke and coffee; finish is dry and slightly bitter coffee; Very nice smoked beer as the smokiness is not over powering like some can be.
