Smog Rocket Smoked Porter - Thick, dark & Robust
Inspired by the Industrial Revolution and the Steam Train.
Back in those days, the Porter was the everyday toast of the working-class masses. Let’s raise a glass to the people that made Britain ’Great’.

Porter. The way it’s meant to be.

Pours very dark brown with a very thin beige head which dissipates extremely quickly. Aroma is strong coffee, BBQ sauce, smoke, toffee and caramel. Taste is smoked meat, cold coffee, caramel and a light bitterness. For a porter, is disappointingly thin bodied and seems watered down. Short to medium bitter finish.

Can @ home from Deconinck, VIchte - BE. Color: deep dark black beer with small carbonation and small brown head. Smell: chocolate and caramel. Roasted malt, Black bread. Taste: chocolate domination and roasted malt balance. Very good equilibrium on mouth and well balanced. Easy drinkable. Aftertaste: small wet sweet bitterness and caramel finish.

I love craft cans and this is not only a great beer, bit also a great looking can! Black bodied and medium head. Dry smoke, chocolate, cacao nips, rye bread. Herbal and modern hops. Great mouthfeel, really lifting up the full taste of dark malts and alive smoke. Brilliantly made! (33cl can from Refector Northern Monk)

Pours a clear, near black redish brown with a brown head that recedes quickly, but provides good lacing. Lightly smoky and rubbery phenol aroma with some fruit. The two components don’t quite meld well. Flavours bring much more (savoury) smoke. Fruity esters complement this time along with some creamy sweetness and chocolate in the finish. Full bodied with a chewy texture.

Countbeer (5043) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2015
Can: Served in a shaker at 13 degrees Celsius: Black beer with a vast and thick beige brown head. Aroma is that of a good porter (roast, coffee, bay leaf, etc) with a light smokey/peaty edge. Flavour is way more porter, flavourfull dark tones, but a bit watery all by all. Aftertaste is more vaster with roast, bitters, dried leaves, coffee and earthy tones. Low carbo, watery mouthfeel, just medium bodied. Smoked? This is a porter guys!
