Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Aroma really spicy, cinammon, badyan. Overall quite good. Hazy reddish amber colour. Taste goes in the established direction. Nicely drinkable however, very good beer.

Pours dark ruby red with a very fine off white head. Nose is quite sweet and heady, with a generous dose of cherry cough syrup and cinnamon, Flavor is also sweet, with more of that cough syrup flavor, some lacto sweetness, and a nice roasted malt note and coffee note on the finish. The cough syrup flavor is prominent but not too overpowering. Medium carbonation with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Not bad.

Slightly opaque dark orange with big lacing lasting off-white foam head. Little bittersweet aroma, pumpkin present. Nice crisp little spicy taste, little dry in mouth, some fruity notes. Bitter aftertaste. (Velp 201410)

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a small, off-white head. It’s rather spiced on the nose, with ginger, cardamom and cloves, some fruityness and herbal hints. Caramel maltyness both in the aroma and flavor. Semi-sweet on the palate, with spices and some fruityness. Full body and pleasant carbonation. Spiced, caramel-malty finish. A quite decent pumpkin ale, but it’s not my preferred kind of beer anyway. 140816
