0.5 l bottle at Helsinki Beer Festival 2010. Amber color. Sweet perfumed aroma with candy and almonds. Sweet, toffeish, nutty and slightly fruity flavor with hints of raisins, almonds, solvent and mushrooms. Slightly stale.

My Bottom Line:
Fruity vinegar peruses through the lightly caramelized grain, as forceful carbonation regrettably plays havoc with this already confused flavor profile. This cannot be the brewer’s intended result.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slim ring of foam is what’s left after the initial tower of foam has quickly depleted over the amber-highlighted golden.
-The nose is nothing more than offputting. This brewery seems to have some bottling issues...
-The body is quite thin, a fact easily perceptible even through the agressive carbonation.
-This is very low on the hops; a shame, because there would have been a lot of room for them to shine.

Bottle.

LordCorkscrew (1758) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - SEP 21, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2007 Aroma fruttato, fragola e lampone; colore marron chiaro con riflessi biondicci e schiuma discreta (al contrario della No.1). Un’ottima proposta "leggera" del Beba.

Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, ITALY - MAR 26, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Draught at "Salone della Birra Artigianale 2006" - Milan.
Amber/reddish color, limpid and little fizzy one. Good head, enough persistent. Much light scent, enought lean with faint notes of singed wood. Enough smooth taste, discreet alcoholic tone, light notes of malt with a medium bitter on the end. Simple but with something to save.

Copper color. Very sweet aroma, vanilla. Light malt with a disturbing sourness (unfortunately typical for Beba).
