Bottle, bought in Bayreuth. Dark brown color. malty, caramelly aroma and flavor with apple syrup. Rather thin, but also bready. Just a bit disappointing dunkel.

It’s dark mahogany-red with a creamy head, and the aroma has notes of caramel and light licorice. The flavour is sweet with notes of caramel, roasted malt, and in the dry finish I find hints of licorice.

Bottle. A gusher producing a clear, brown body and virtually no head. Weak nose with a roasted touch. The flavor has some caramel to follow the roasted malts, but it’s rather weak all over. Medium body. Lasting finish with the flavors found initially. Nothing wrong here, except it’s complete lack of exciting abilities. 100813

0.5L bottle. A dense two-finger khaki head, upon a a clear ruby shaded, very dark brown body. Rich aroma of roasted nuts and caramel. Also a scent of dark dried fruits. Taste has a clean, lightlly sweet nutty andf caramelly malt base. A certain tartness, or maybe acidulous fruitiness is noticable. Well-bodied. Finishes with caramel and fruit tones, and a fine dryness. A tasty and well crafted Dunkel.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2010. Pours amber with a creamy off white head. Nose is dusty and vaguely tart. Sweet malty. A bit of paper. Medium to thin body.
