Bottle: Deep golden, bigger fluffy white head, slowly collapsing; light to moderate malty/toasted malty nose with nutty pots and a distinctive hoppy background; clean, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; shorter, quite light, a bit drier malty-nutty and bitter finish. Pleasant brew.......

Jun 1, 2008 (bottle, Spezial 205, 5.5% abv) Clear, deep golden colour with a mid-sized and not very persistent, slightly off-white frothy head. Sweet caramel-malty nose, slightly bready and nutty with traces of cardboard. Medium-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly bready and nutty taste with light herbal accents towards the finish, which is moderately dry, sweet-bitter and malt-accented. Although it is close to their Volksfestbier I´d say it is a different brew (26.05.08).
