Sweetish floral beginning. The beer is fresh and malty, slightly sweetish, not too bitter with herbal malty hints in the mainpart. Fresh, smooth, caramel. A bit sharp bitter in the end, soft and easy to drink but not too deep.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, würzig, grasig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig, würzig, leicht süß alkoholisch.

500ml bottle. Cloudy dark golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, white head. Malty and slightly grainy aroma, minimally dry hoppy overtones. Taste is pale malty and slightly grainy, moderately dry hoppy overtones. Relatively light body and low sweetness for a Bock.

Bottle. Dark golden, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma, some caramel, faint fruitiness and fainf hoppyness. Medium, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and light caramel, faint hoppyness with light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, light caramel and light hoppyness, some alcohol. Sweetish bock with caramel - some bitterness in the finish.

Cloudy orange with yeast particles and a white head. Aroma is caramel, yeast and peach. Taste is medium sweet caramelly malt with yeasty notes and a quick dry finish. Thin palate for the ABV. One of the better examples in a style I usually find no use for.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

(500ml bottle) Courtesy of Joss. So highly bready. Strangely interesting and flavourful for 7%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPod; and powered by RateBeer.com, the world’s largest and most accurate beer database.

(bottle) pours a clear amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of caramel, pale malts and wood, with a hint of canned peaches and gooseberries. flavour is mostly caramel and herbal hops, with some offensive notes of cooked vegetables and a medium-bitter finish. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle rated in Nov 2011. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, toasted grain, husks, nuts), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of peach/nectarine skin and honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation. Pleasant aroma, but rather syrupy sweet. Ok.

69th rating for this beer. I’m assuming this rating is in the right place, doesn’t have the Lisberger name but does have the right abv and there isn’t anything better. Swing-top by 03.10.12. Nose is sweet and malty, grass, very faint candy, and some nice lightly grainy cellar-funk of the type I came to love in Cafe Abseits. Golden body is clear and leaning orange, head is rocky, lacing, creamy white. Sweet taste not overdone, malt-forward with a touch of bread, yeasty component, fresh and zinging all the way through. Medium body is smooth and creamy. A delicious combination of a Heller Bock and Kellerbier!
