That is a very tasty beer. Little bit of choc malt, lovely hop. Full in mouth and enormously drinkable. Lovely malts. So drinkable. Great raspberry/strawberry flavours. Then this hop kicks in. Superb. Bigsilky (322), Charleston, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Unfiltered, possibly bottle conditioned. There are some floaties mid pour. Hazy, with a tight head and a glow. Huge, bready malt, and dried apricots on the nose with a spoonfull of citrusy-like hop spice. More litghtly toasted malt and fresh hop on the palate. Wow, I don’t understand these other ratings. Volumnous, and seamlessly complex. Very refreshing, and intelligent. Slight twists of yeast twang twines the line that keeps the dripping malt fruit from dipping into cloying. The finish is hoppy and kissed from the lips of tight grained bubbles, that remind me of top flight Viennas, and Oktoberfests. One of the best bocks I’ve had. One of the most suprising beers I’ve had in recent memory. 94B Hunsell (400), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Hops make an appearance in the bouquet, signalling a balanced bock. Juicy palate. Very quaffable. Very balanced, as it smells, with delightful hop bitterness rounding it out after a bready body. Good toast flavors. Very nice. MoritzF (5122), Bochum, Germany
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 17, 2007 (swing top bottle) Hazy, orange to amber colour with beautiful, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet toast-malty, slightly nutty and fruity nose with caramel and a whiff of hops in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full body with a smooth and pleasant carbonation. Slightly toasty and fruity malty taste with herbal notes; sweet and slightly bitter finish with a rounded malty sweetness and balancing bitter hops. Reminds me of the Göller Bock. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Nice clear bronze color with a tallish creamy looking beige head. Grains and caramel mix in the aromas. LIght floral and husky grain scents also present. Very smooth in feel, not silky, but soft and subtle. Just enough zip to make sure it doesn’t feel flat. Mild malt flavor in the front. Adds some caramel and toasted malt in the middle. Some dry herbal hops also work their way in. Alcohol also worms its way in by the finish. A bit sharp and some metal in the linger. Early promise is beaten back toward the end, but still a nice traditional bock. omhper (12335), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Bottled. Amber colour, rich head. Buttery, lightly malt aroma with "ur-bock-dusty" character. Sweet and very malty, very soft. Dusty hops mixes with fruity sweetness. the softness is so unbelievably perfect. The flavours are interesting, but not in the same league, and the sweetness is somewhat disturbing. MiP (9162), Sønderborg, Denmark
