Big bottle. Weak yellow colour. Aroma of grains and some hops. Grainy and sweet flavour with some bitter hops. An allright tasting cheap beer.

brought this in a can back from Tierra del Fuego and it’s rested in my fridge for a couple of weeks. Poured with a nice foamy head. I noticed a bit of banana in the nose at first. Then not much else. There’s no great flavor there but it doesnt taste bad either. There is some lace sticking to the inside of the glass and a steady light surface head as the beer level goes down. No aromatic hop only the bittering action. You could do better or worse with this. Not much aftertaste.

So, depending on your nationality and age you might think either of the tennis player who had amorous relations with a young lady in a London Restaurant, appropriately called Nobu, or the ascerbic doctor played by Ted Danson. Neither have anything to do wth this beer. This is no so unsusual as this beer bears little resemblance to a finely creafted pale lager in the European style. Geez, I wish I had a peso for every time I thought this on my Chilean visit.

This beer has a golden body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is sweet.

Tastes like the juice from a can of corn pieces. Looks like any other really bland, pale, boring lager. need I say more?

I had this beer at the end of my trip to Santiago, a fitting finish. The beer was a clear gold color with a small white head with little features. Its aroma was grainy hops with a touch of citrus and some barley. The beer had a slightly sweet taste, but was most a bitter hops flavor. It had a thin body, was slight dry, and not much life or carbonation. Not an exciting beer at all, a fitting and appropriate tribute to Michael.

Panzerfaust (509) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - FEB 1, 2006
Pale yellow lager with a small, fizzy and fast diminishing head that leaves no lacing. Weak aroma of hops, citric with some grainy and korn touches. Flavor is initially sweet with a lightly bitter hint. It ends shortly with a more bitter touch. Light body and watery character. At least it has some decent crispness. There are some citrusy notes in the finish. Less watery than other Chilean lagers but otherwise bland.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2007 (in can, supermarket in Chile). Average aroma, with something of nuts and alcohol. The color is pale, very watery and light, without herbs. In the palate is very light and thin, a final length without sensation, very flat. It is a flat beer!, a lager without taste.

Clear yellow color, with no bubbles or particles. Light aroma with grain and citric touches. It shows a small white head that quickly diminishes leaving a fair lacing. It has a light and bitter-sweet flavor, with a metallic and short finish. Light carbonation and a watery and light body. That’s the adjective defining it: LIGHT macro Chilean lager.
