What this brew lacks in alcohol it certainly makes up for in flavor. This malt beverage (less than 0.5% alcohol by volume) boasts a full, rich, thick head, light amber color and balanced bitterness.

Bottle at home. Colour is very very pale clear amber. Nose is lightly malt grain, lager crispness. Taste is very watery, but it does have some crisp lager tang of malt grain and crisp lager yeast. light as a feather and watery. It’s refreshing and has no weird taste to it, so not bad for an alcohol free beer. Certainly not offensive, just lacking flavour.

330 ml bottle, bought in Greece during a supermarket raid. Poured into a lager glass. ABV 0.3% Deep golden yellow to light amber colour on the body, one finger of white, froathy head, with low retention but satisfying lacing left behind. Heavy malty smell. The same goes for the taste. Full of malts, at least at first. Slighty bitter aftertaste. Thin body, low carbonation. Typical non alcoholic beer.

Bottle. Pours a very pale straw yellow body, about as close to clear as I’ve seen from any ’beer’. Frothy and lofty bright white head that had excellent retention. It actually looks pretty decent. The nose isn’t all that different from the standard Beck’s, there’s a little grassiness and green bottle Euro Lager skunkiness. There is a bit of a dry lightly toasted note as well. This actually smells pretty decent as well. The flavor is quite a bit off from the regular version however, it’s overly sweet and worty with minimal to no hop bitterness making it past the sweetness. None of the usual green bottle skunkiness that I would expect from the regular. Finishes very bland and slightly vegetal with a very short lived aftertaste, which I suppose is a good thing. Lighter bodied with a touch of clinginess on the finish. Fizzy spritzy carbonation. Probably one of the better N/A beers I’ve had, but still a poor substitute for real beer.

Bottle. Yellow beer with a slight haze and small head. Aroma of sweet corn. Taste is grain and a touch of hop. For a alcohol free beer this isn’t too bad.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2013 Bottle @ State Bar. Golden yellow colour, big foamy head. Unusual meaty vegetable aroma. Dry vegetable flavour. Bitter aftertaste. This is neither beer nor a nice drink.
