COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What this brew lacks in alcohol it certainly makes up for in flavor. This malt beverage (less than 0.5% alcohol by volume) boasts a full, rich, thick head, light amber color and balanced bitterness.

Bottle 33cl. @ [ Thisted tasting ].
Clear light yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, cabbage water, foxes piss. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090316]

A light yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is sour hoppy with notes of grass - the lack of alcohol is very obvious. The flavor is primarily sour from the lack of alcohol and the body is thin. A bad example of an alcoholfree beer.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Nicely golden and a pretty, tall and rather stable head. A weird perfumy softness dominates this beer. Rather flat without much bitterness either. But quenching alright. 221099 & 030401

Bottled. Yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Strong malty hoppy nose. Weak flavour of malt hops and hay. Sweetish aftertaste with some sour vegetably hints.

[Bottled] Pale golden, very brief head. Grassy nose. Dryish with very light body and clean mouthfeel. No sign of the dreaded raisiny wort flavour, instead grassy hops seems to dominate. Finishes with somewhat harsh, grassy, metallic bitterness.

Bottle. Bready aroma, a little urine. Yellow colour, very small head. Watery flavour. Bready, quite bitter (unpleasantly so).

Bottle @ Odense Summer Tasting, 2011. Purchased in Italy. Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Nose is maize and corn. Vaguely tart and dusty flavor. Quite odd. Very thin mouthfeel. Ends dry.

I never thought being more beer-like would hurt a non-alc, but the skunky, astringent character of Beck’s really makes a mess of this fizzy yellow liquid. I like the less wort, more hops theory, just lost the green bottle and ’Becks-ness’
