What this brew lacks in alcohol it certainly makes up for in flavor. This malt beverage (less than 0.5% alcohol by volume) boasts a full, rich, thick head, light amber color and balanced bitterness.

Beyond anaemic - gnats’ piss. Dry dusty version of the usual cornflake aroma. Lively carbonation, very thin body. Grassy metallic hops, some lemon, lots of dry dusty cornflakes. Cornflakes picked up from the corner of your kitchen floor when you finally get round to sweeping the floor. Nasty metallic finish. Drivers - don’t drink this, drink anything else instead.

Bottle... Clear, light yellow lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is mostly sorghum and herbal hops with a faint note of skunk. The flavor is bland, but decently bittered for an n/a. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Astringent, moderately bitter finish. Went well enough with my plate of pork and guava gravy. Most importantly, it didn’t hinder my driving afterwards. Now that I’m home, it’s time for a real beer!

Bottle in Vail. Clear, light golden appearance with a small white head. Dull straw, hay, pale malty aroma. Grainy, straw, barn hay flavor. Bleh bleh bleh. Fuck me, they brought me the non-alcoholic version. Fuck me. Fuck me.

This was purely in the interest of modern science as I detest ’normal’ Becks with a passion. It looks and smells like Becks’ little brother in that it is the colour of watered down limeade and has a sweet aroma. The taste however is much nicer than Becks. It doesn’t have that nasty bite and is actually quite mellow. It’s still a poor beer and I’m glad I’ve got it out of my system, but give me this over its stable mate any day.

355mL stolen from random refridgerator. Pours a clear deeper golden with medium white foam that laces very nicely. Nose is skunky from green bottle, herbs, old corn, Taste is metallic up front, biting moving to very sugary, cloying, oh man all sugar with licking a penny sharp metallic. Ick.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear extremely pale gold color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing, oddly, considering the quality of the rest of the beer. Aroma is beans. Seriously. Beans, stale leafy hops and not much else. Taste is sweet malts with a faint hint of hops. Some graininess in the finish. Thin-medium bodied. This is all over the place, very strange and very, very bad.

Backlog. Pours yellow. White head. Nose and taste is mostly watery corn, sweet grain, light pepper and a bit of skunk. Light body.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Clear golden color, medium sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Smell and taste lightly malts, some bitterness. Quite thin bodied, low to average carbonation.

Golden with a white bubbly head. Aromas are skunky room-filling lemon with grain and chemicals. Flavours are lemon and harsh chemicals that grate the inside of the throat. At least it has some hoppiness to it - that special Becks soapy, metallic hoppiness. As rough as a spoonful of Sudan 1.
