COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beck’s Dark is rich and smooth with a lingering, slightly sweet aftertaste. The deep ebony color is the result of specially roasting the barley malt. Unlike dark ales, Beck’s Dark is a bottom-fermented lager which creates a robust flavor and full body while retaining the refreshing properties of a lager beer.

Grainy molasses nose. This looks exactly like the glass of Pepsi on the table next to it. There is barely a difference between the two. Toaste malt tastes with subtle toffee tones. Sugary and lacking bitter. Thin, watery and fizzy. Not so thrilled from this overall.

Similar to original becks, but with less taste, which begs the question why?

Dark brown pour, thick tan head. Malt and caramel smell. Taste is same with some oakyness. Flavor tapers off and is slightly watery. Not terrible.

Green bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt asnd light eartrhiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, bread and a hint of earthiness with a crisp finish.

Poured into a wide flute glass. Nice dark amber color, transparent with two fingers of head that fell to a quarter finger in a minute. Well, it smells like a regular Beck’s. Metallic with a hint of malt. Tastes like nothing... then a metal flavor followed by the characteristic bitter of a Berlin Lager. A big miss on style. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. No malt in the body or taste, no real flavor and not even close to a Dunkel. It is just a darker colored Beck’s. Stay away.

Bottle- Pours a dark brown color with a fair head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, spice and somewhat grainy. taste of malt sweetness with some grain. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp and quite smooth. Decent drinker that goes down easy. Good for a couple.

Pour is a thin kind of dark brown with a moderate off-white head. A little roast and cocoa to the aroma, but not much, and the same goes for the taste. It’s better than a standard Beck’s, but it’s still pretty pedestrian.

Bottle. Pours a coca cola brown with a white head. Carmelly nose. Taste is really nutty with hints of brown sugar.
