Commercial Description:
Beck's Dark is rich and smooth with a lingering, slightly sweet aftertaste. The deep ebony color is the result of specially roasting the barley malt. Unlike dark ales, Beck's Dark is a bottom-fermented lager which creates a robust flavor and full body while retaining the refreshing properties of a lager beer.

Most that i have had of this was skunked. First off because no one buys it. but the few times i got good bottles they were ok. so i guess i wont slaughter this one.

Clear mahogany with rich ruby highlights and large light tan head that fades quickly. Nose is toasted toffee and caramel malt and some hints of molassis as it warms. Flavor is a little nutty, and musty. Heavy on malt. Cloying and coffee bitter finish. this and Redhook ESB are the only two beers my father-in-law keeps stocked, so while im not crazy about it, I guess it could be worse.

Aroma is slight coffee/mocha, pour is ruby brown with thin head. Flavour is quite thin, slight coffee and nuttiness, but that is about it.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark cola color with red hues and no head. Smells of roasted malt, cereal and molasses. Taste has roasted malts but needs more.

Pours transparent dark brown with a small light beige head. Malty nose, not much else. Flavor is malty, with some nuttiness and slightly metallic. Drinkable, not much else.
