COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The best of Germany meets the best of America in this brew. Crisp, refreshing and light, yet distinctly Beck’s in flavor and quality.

muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, USA - NOV 20, 2005
12 oz bottle purchased at my place of employment, City Market in Burlington, VT. Big frothy head diminishes immediately, topping a very clear watery honey colored body...stale, skunky faint grassy, cooked corn-DMS in the nose....flavor? what flavor? there’s virtually nothing here at all, perhaps the lightest of light-struck mineral-water with vague traces of celery, or perhaps it’s asparagus, I don’t know. Exceedingly thin, dry and invisible finish. What makes a beergeek rate these things anyway? What misguided sense of priorities leads me to exclaim, "ah ha" whenever I see a new beer in the cooler at work, whether it be an Allagash, a Magic Hat, a Saranac or this? Is tasting new beers, any new beers at all, what life is all about? How much of my precious time, in these waning years of existence, have I expended upon this frivolous pursuit of pale, putrid and puerile pale pils-pretenders? Am I really helping to educate YOUR palate, edify YOUR mind, by reviews such as this? I doubt it. Only the mindless, nameless one at the center of the Cosmos can answer this riddle....and s/he’s too busy drinking Raspberry Eisbock to care.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2012 This light beer is just like the rest, very little taste, more like drinking water. Not good at all.

a beer fitting of a green bottle. Some skunkiness would be a blessing. Thin and watery. If given the choice, choose an Amstel instead....

12 ounce bottle from a Wegman’s. Opened 4/14/11. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized fizzy head that fades quickly. Massive skunkiness as soon as the bottle is opened and it doesn’t go away. Some husky grain notes in there as well. The taste is faint grain notes and grassy, skunky hops. Thin and watery. Cant’ get much worse than this.

Bottle. I opened the bottle, and it smelled like Pepe Le Pew in heat. The taste wasn’t much better -- watery, bland, and insipid. This beer is hereby submitted as evidence that light beer is a crime against nature.

Barreras (408) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAY 30, 2011
Pours a pale clear yellow color with aroma of corn and maize. A watered down light beer that is very drinkable but lacks a lot of complexity. Nothing special here but a run of the mill light beer.

Bottled, pasteurised, 330ml in a Wetherspoons. Pale straw, carbonated head. Yes this was the only rate available in a Spoons at Festival time. Sour dough type back flavour with tinniness, rice notes and a lemon bitterness, which was the redeeming part. Awful really though.

(12oz bottle thanks to travita) Light flavor. Very skunked nose. Light flavor. I can take this if I chug it down, but actually drinking it? No thanks.
