Almost undrikable. Golden coloured, clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Cirtus aroma, sharp too. Flavor is light sweet and finish unpleasent astringent and bitter.

Bottle. A strong smell of citrus, a lot of sugar. The head is small, white and foamy-creamy with a short duration. The body is yellow. A sour taste, the finish is quite bitter. The body is light and dry with a rather soft carbonation.

Beer No. 55 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Bottled 330ml. -found at Turkish shop with funny name Moonshine Deluxe, Tiergarten Berlin. From the bottle in front of the Moonshine. Not so pleasant cardboard nose with hint of lime. The taste is however even worse. Cardboard with perfumed artificial lime. Awful but still better (not much) than Dju Dju Passion.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.

Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, cardboard, paper, moderate to light heavy soapy lemon, perfumed lemon - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a ling to average duration, perfumed, artificial lime soapy, paper. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20110718]

Well this is sure jumping the backlog queue a bit! Green-glassed bottle in Meininger neben dem Berliner Hbf. Sweet dusty lime nose trumps anything remotely ’bierig’ (excuse my Puntigamerisch). Likewise with the taste; there’s a bit more heft, more alcohol than with Radler, but seemingly less flavor contributed by the beer. A touch of a bready malt toward the slimy end. Fullish body, certainly medium. Surprisingly pleasant despite all the previous comments - very mellow.

Bottle. Lime and malt aroma with a hint of hops. Golden yellow color with small head. Barley malt and herbal hops flavor with a lime finish. Okay if you want a lime flavored Beck’s.

Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2011
