Bottled. A brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of black currant. The flavor is sweet with notes of black currant, leading to a dry berry finish. The body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear dark red with an off-white head. Distinct, dry blackcurrant aroma. Light body, very dry blackcurrant notes, ends dry too. Surprisingy refreshing and never cloying. 290911

Clear reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet and unsurprisingly dominated by black currant very much like some of the flavored vodka I used to drink as a youth. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 190412

Koelschtrinker (16815) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 25, 2011
9/8/11/7/11/7

Rötlichbraunes Getränk mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr süß nach dunkles Beeren. Geschmack sehr süß nach schwarzen Johannisbeeren, kein Bier.

Bottle. A dark red beer, clear, and topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is dominated by black currant, not much room left for anything else. The same goes for the flavor, but at least some beery flavors are coming through. Medium body, dry, and quite pleasant on the carbonation. Overall, rather horrific, but then I don’t like black currant very good. 110819
