2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Zoo Brew. Pours a gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bread and grains with a bit of sweetness underlying. Flavor a good amount of earthy grains with some bread and a touch of sweetness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Transfer from BA review on 9-7-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a copper color with a one finger rather fizzy white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading to leave a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather light overall. While light, there are aromas of caramel and a bit of roasted malt. Along with these smells are some notes of apple and some spice.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted and bready taste. The flavors are on the lighter side overall. From the start there is a little bit of caramel and lighter fruits as well (apple and pear). The sweetness grows more toward the middle only to weaken as the flavor advances to the end. Along with the loss of a bit of the sweet, some moderate spice flavors of nutmeg and clove as well as a bit of an herbal flavor comes to the tongue, leaving an overall drier, roasted malt, and lightly spiced flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. A little more thickness in body may have been slightly better for the roasted malt flavors of the brew, but overall it was a rather drinkable feel and quite decent for the style.
Overall – A decent Oktoberfest, but overall a little subdued in flavor. An easy drinking autumn style brew that may be nice when tailgating or just socializing outdoors with friends.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
From a 12 oz. bottle: Clear burnt orange with a cream-colored head. Saaz hops on the aroma with a trace of skunkiness, (should have avoided the green bottles at the grocery store). Flavor is light and almost nonexistent except for the hops. There are much better Octoberfests out there.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Dont love nor hate it. Amber in color, although rather light. Decent taste, although a little bitter or sour for me.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Color and appearance is right. Not much aroma too it than a little bit of the sweet malt and a little bit musty. Taste though is like a thin watery seltzer version of an oktoberfest beer. Its ok no real off flavors just a thin version of some better versions out there.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a fiery copper orange with pristine clarity and a fat head of tan creamy foam that falls well and leaves a ring and spots of sticky lace. Nose is light but malty. Dry white bread crust and a bit of sweet caramel underneath. A faint breath of hop herbal o9n the nose. Taste is lighter than normal. Thinnish body that has all the requisite flavors. It’s malty, dry, crisp and has a the lightly toasty white crust of bread. The caramel is particularly soft and smooth and runs through this drink lovely. The hops impart a slight taste of herbal and a touch of bitterness to the finish. On the first sip there was a faint metallic but it fell back after my palate was indoctrinated. Finishes with an almost citric bit of juiciness before it goes back to dry bread.
Middle of the road but tasty refreshing and very easy to drink.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle picked up at Party Source from backlog notes 07. Pours a clear amber color with a foamy off white head. The aroma is a mix of toasted grains, light caramel, skunky notes and a hint of leafy hops. The flavor is mainly toasted malts, light hints of caramel, some grass, skunk and light leafy hops. Light watery body, thin. This is not as good as the other Oktoberfests that I tasted about the same time.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It had a dark burnt orange amber colored body with good clarity. The pour produced a thick and creamy light tan head. The head had decent retention and made some slippery lacing on the glass. There is a pleasant malty character with sweet caramel notes and light hints of spicy hops. The flavor has a modest caramel maltiness with light toasted notes and a good balance of spicy hops. A slight herbal and a very slight metallic comes through as well in the finish. The palate has a slick texture with active carbonation and a medium body.
