Little aroma. I like the color: light orange liquid. Palate is predictable for a European lager. Flavor has little hops or malts. Finishes with a non-threatening, slight sharpness. Not nearly as robust and fulfilling as, say, Sam Adams Octoberfest. An imported seasonal for mainstream tastes. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Surprisingly good. Nice malty flavor. Better than the dark which i enjoy as well.

This beer starts out alright with a candyish malt aroma and smooth malt flavour, but has that ’skunkish’ Beck’s taste to the finish. I have yet to find a better Octo. Fest than Sam Adams.

A decent Oktoberfest brew, I prefer Hacker-Pschorr’s. But this one is quite worthy.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2003 Faint aroma, some light caramel malt sweetness, tobacco and spicy hop. Clear light amber color, with a very slight head, no lacing. Light biscuity, sweet malt flavor with the middle and finish seeing a touch of spicy, bitter, metallic hoppiness. Light bodied and watery. Thirst quenching, though.

Much better than their pale lager, this beer has a nice caramel tone and a crystaline hop presence at the end. Hey, I don’t care what anyone says, Beck’s can brew some damn good beer.

A decent effort for a mass produced Octoberfest. As previously mentioned, however, a bit light on the malts and way too fizzy. And yes I’ve found this to be skunky too.

I was impressed considering the source. I expected more malt (a little bland for a fest), but this was still fairly malty. My biggest gripe was overcarbonation though. Good overall, and easy to find.

Ok, I expected better. This was much more hoppy than it was malty, which isn’t good for an oktoberfest. The aroma wasn’t all that appealing as it smelled very hoppy. this is a very lop sided oktoberfest. definitely not the best.
