12 oz. bottle picked up at Party Source from backlog notes 07. Pours a clear amber color with a foamy off white head. The aroma is a mix of toasted grains, light caramel, skunky notes and a hint of leafy hops. The flavor is mainly toasted malts, light hints of caramel, some grass, skunk and light leafy hops. Light watery body, thin. This is not as good as the other Oktoberfests that I tasted about the same time.

It had a dark burnt orange amber colored body with good clarity. The pour produced a thick and creamy light tan head. The head had decent retention and made some slippery lacing on the glass. There is a pleasant malty character with sweet caramel notes and light hints of spicy hops. The flavor has a modest caramel maltiness with light toasted notes and a good balance of spicy hops. A slight herbal and a very slight metallic comes through as well in the finish. The palate has a slick texture with active carbonation and a medium body.

Pours a copper color with off-white head. Caramel malt and some citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Not too complex, but an average octoberfest style beer.

Nothing remarkable. Aroma was of Munich malts with a slight skunkiness. They need to get away from the green bottles. Color was a light amber with a white head. Lighter palate with decent carbonation. Flavors were typical for the style, just lessened. Easy to drink but there are much better.

Aroma is lager yeast with some corn and caramel. Pours amber/copper with a white head. Superb thick lacing. Clean flavor profile consisting of caramel, yeast, corn, and gum. creamy texture with a light body. Fairly low co2. Pretty good considering who makes it. I actually got a six pack for $3.49. The tag meant to write $8.49. Suckers!!! My lucky day.

bottle. Amber with small head. Malty base, but still somewhat watered down. Not the best example of the style.

Bottle. Poured a clear copper color with a small mostly white head. Aroma was sweet caramel malts, some earthy notes. Flavor had a touch of light sweetness like toffee, slight skunk and earthy notes.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a clear burnt orange appearance with a thin cream colored head. Some caramel and nutty notes in the aroma. Some metallic and corn notes in the aroma as well. Fairly sweet, mild floral hop bitterness. A bit husky. Finishes with another touch of metal. Very poor example of a Märzen.

I expected much more, and I don’t know why. Maybe I’ll buy a couple to make some batter for onion rings... not to drink straight out of the bottle
