2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
The distinctive grainy malt aroma of Beck’s remains apparent, its weaker body is the noticeable change - it lacks flavour because of it. Pale yellow colour when it is out of its bottle.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
12oz bottle in Boston. Last at the party, then sits in the fridge for awhile beer. Innocuous soft sour lager, not a lot of flavor, dry sparkling water. Some sour grain notes. Pretty weak, but not ill put together for what it actually is. Which I guess applauds minimal alcohol and mild flavor. Ok, it fulfills this, but I still wonder why.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
ours a clear and very pale golden color. There is only bits of a head to it. Scent is that of cheap grassy grains. The taste at least has some flavor to it but not very much. The taste is very grassy and drinks like water. No texture at all and essentially drinks like beer flavored water. The only thing this beer has going for it is that at least it’s better than MGD 64.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with small frothy white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is corn malt and skunk. Thin mouthfeel with a light corn malt flavor. Not much going on with this one.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Pours an extremely pale straw yellow body with a very minimal white head that faded to a wispy thin film. The nose is pretty minimal, just a bit of grassiness and light adjunct grains. The flavor is almost non existent, very watery and thin with some light corn on the finish. No bitterness to speak of here. Light bodied and watery with light fizzy carbonation. This is about as weak and boring as you can get, yet still better than many macro light beers.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle. 2.3%, whoa... This is almost an NA beer. Labeled as "less than 3.2%" on the bottle. Thin white head, that fizzes away to minimal. Clear yellow color. Kind of a sweet taste, with a skunky bite. Hay, salt, bread aroma. Bitey carbonation. Dry finish. Weird pepper aftertaste. Some acidity. I’d probably suggest this for somebody seeking low-ABV or super-light beer, but of course, it can’t compare to real beer. Has a slight gluten-free-esque character to it. By no means high-quality, but definitely better than other American macro light beers and it does what they do better -- it’s way lighter.
