2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Total Wine. Noble hop aroma. Gives the impression of real Beck’s. Pale golden color with a decent white head. Near medium body with creamy/fizzy carbonation. The flavor is grassy hop with very light pale malt backing. The principal impression is grassy bitter, and that’s the finish. Doesn’t seem quite crisp and clean, but it’s better than any Bud.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Pours light gold, still, with a patchy white film on top. Aroma is grassy, sour grain and light malt, yeast (sweat). Watery light malt (meal, grain) and sour yeast sweat flavor, medium acidity with a slight dry finish. Light bodied and thin, watery palate. Actually it is fairly easy to drink.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Holy skunk Batman! Pours a very pale yellow with a head that fades a wee bit faster than the speed of light. Aroma of skunk and acrid grain with a bit of toastiness peeking out. The taste is bitter grassy hops, faint malts, and some skunk in the finish. Thin and watery. The only upside to this beer is that it makes the Shock Top on deck almost seem appealing. Ugh.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle. Sour light vinegar malt aroma. Light yellow color with small head. Tastes like mineral water somebody spilled vinegar in or like a bottle of Gerolsteiner mineral water that was opened a couple of days prior. Boy I’ve tried some crap today. In US, I’d go with Michelob ultra amber before this and in Germany, would definitely go with Bitburger Light first.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle. 2.3%, whoa... This is almost an NA beer. Labeled as "less than 3.2%" on the bottle. Thin white head, that fizzes away to minimal. Clear yellow color. Kind of a sweet taste, with a skunky bite. Hay, salt, bread aroma. Bitey carbonation. Dry finish. Weird pepper aftertaste. Some acidity. I’d probably suggest this for somebody seeking low-ABV or super-light beer, but of course, it can’t compare to real beer. Has a slight gluten-free-esque character to it. By no means high-quality, but definitely better than other American macro light beers and it does what they do better -- it’s way lighter.
