2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottles from co-worker. WTF are Sapphire hops? Can you see thru them on the vine as they sparkle or what? A slightly bluish green tinge on the pour from the bottle to the glass. In glass it gets golden. Cause they donít do a thing for this slightly apple-rific larger bodied lager. Yeah a smooth taste...but not much else. Wibble.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle poured into a Spaten stange. Pours a clear brilliant gold with a thick white head with good retention; after it falls a bit, a little lace is left on the glass; a blanket of foam remains on top of the liquid all the way down to last swallow. Aroma is corny, citrus powder drink, creamed corn. Taste is sweet with only a hint of bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation soft for the style. Iím actually really surprised by this. I was expecting a piece of shit, mostly because of the AB connection, but this is much better than most of the stuff in ABís portfolio and everything Iíve ever had from the actual Becks brewery. Itís not excellent, and itís not anything I would ever buy again, but this isnít all that bad.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Caponeís. Pours pale gold with a lot of carbonation streams and half a finger of white head. Nose is grainy malt, mild hopcitrus. Smells like Genessee. Tastes pale malty, with some decent palate heft, rounded hopcitrus, some malty sweetness and honey undertones, and a smooth, non-offensive finish. Note that non-offensive is NOT the same as good.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Wolf in sheepís clothing. Crappy American beer disguised as a German classic. Miller Lite tastes better than this junk. Absolutely terrible. Save your money.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Looks like a typical lager, smells like a typical lager, and yes it tastes like a typical lager. Nothing much different about it than drinking michelob, stella artois, or any of the other flavorless lagers inbev has to offer. For the price to get a buzz going just give me a bud ice. Same plain lager taste with less cost.

Iíd be willing to bet 90% of the people rating this beer donít have a fucks clue what Shaphir hops are. This beer is your standard pale lager, sweet, grainy, no hop character. FFS.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Stupid black bottle that wonít be accepted for recycling. Light sweet grainy malt aroma. Clear gold with a small white head. Slightly sour malt and light bitter flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation. Blech. And not being able to recycle the bottle made this a complete waste.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz black bottle. Gold color, white foam. Smells of straw, apples, pale malts. Tastes of very thin pale malts. Not really sure what the taste of Sapphire hops are. Well balanced, better than most AB-InBev. A hopped version of Budweiser Black label. (3609)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma has light citrus and sweet grass. Flavor follows suit. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with a slightly sweet dry grassy finish. Better than regular Becks.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours light golden with a thin mostly receding white head. Notes of biscuit, metallic, herbal hops and bitter resin. Thin bodied with lively carbonation. A stronger, more bitter version of Becks.
