1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Free sample at Supermarket: Pours a pale yellow with little fizzy head. Aroma is grain. Taste is slightly hoppy, but tastes mostly like an attenuated European lager. Is this better than Rolling Rock? Sure, it is. Is this a good beer, well not really.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2013 Aroma is grainy malts and a hint of citrus hops. The flavor is citrus, biscuit/bread-like malts and a mix of tart and bitter in the finish.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs), with notes of DMS and soap.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation.
Pretty much what you’d expect from Beck’s. Soap and DMS and pretty much as strong in the nose as the hops. Crude malt. Overly sweet, husky. Not repulsive, but an industrial, clunky drain pour all the same.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Non-Descript, Subdued, Unremarkable.
Appearance: An attractive golden color with orange highlights.
Taste: A bit on the bitter side, both up front and in the back. Bitter aftertaste lingers.
Palate: Mild to light flavors; astringent. Some pine-sap overtones with a hint of citrus, and a sometimes elusive vanilla undertone.
Overall: Not as smooth a taste as expected. Too much bitterness when compared to its lackluster flavors. An average ho-hum beer in above average packaging.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Well it was basically Becks. Nothing more. Sure there was a discernible spicy hop nose, a little less in the flavor. But Becks has always had that. A little grainy. Its a fair lager.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
The aroma is nothing literally I am about to bust a lung on this one and I get faint sweetness and maybe grass. The appearance is pale gold with a medium head. The taste is metallic with pale malt. The palate is average. Overall a complete waste of money and time. Yuck.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. On the label I see a marking of 12363-SX23. The pour is golden yellow with a full white head that settles down after a moment to a ring around the glass. The aroma is low profile malts and bread with a slight hop bite. The body is smooth and light to medium. The taste begins with sweetish pale malts but then the hop character takes over leading me to a modest but clean bitterness. Not all that bad.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
I like this much more than regular becks. Its very smooth and a little malty and lacks that potent aftertaste that becks had.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle, poured into a Bud Light brand Kolsch style glass. Pours clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Clean and grainy with light earthy notes. Average carbonation. Quick bland finish. This is a slightly above average pale lager.
