Tallahassee, Fl - Circle K - Capital Circle & Centerville - sleek looking black 16 oz can. Pours a sparkling medium golden with nice bubble action and a slight white head. Aroma is pretty much neutral with some light wort-like notes. Flavor is crisp with a nice saaz hoppy bite. Some grainy notes, a hint of honey sweetness. Crisp mouthfeel. Pleasantly surprised - expected some Euro strong lager nonsense based on the packaging.

Pretty basic lager appearance. Nose is muffled corn syrup. Sweet malt taste. Not impressed.

So this is a higher end beer? Yeah, right.... Aroma is of rubbing alcohol, it burns the nose...Appearance is okay starting with the bottle. The dark blue, or black bottle attracted me, but the pour, well. It pours a dark yellow. For some reason I expected blue, haha, silly me. But still wasn’t expected that dark of a yellow, it has a decent, thick, foamy head. Leaves a nice lacing as you swirl it....Taste isn’t really much, it’s more roasty than hoppy and it’s a little sweet. It has some maltiness too it that I don’t really care for....Mouthfeel, medium with a slickness to it. It’s not great....Overall, it’s not great, not offensive, but I wouldn’t recommend.

Thanks to the nearly black bottle this is the first Beck’s I’ve had that wasn’t skunky. It is everything you would expect from a mediocre pilsner. Better than bud but nothing special. It does however have a pleasant fruity aroma. I wouldn’t seek it out but wouldn’t turn one down either.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. The fancy bottle and name don’t disguise the mediocrity of this beer. Don’t be fooled and avoid at all costs.

It pours a pale gold color with almost no head. It has the aroma of cereal and a little hay. It tastes like a macro pale lager. It has no hop character or any strong flavors to it but it is generally pretty non offensive tasting. I wouldn’t buy this one again.

Bottle from Food Pantry Waikiki 211214. This is your typical pale lager with a very nasty aroma and and equally nasty flavour.

hotstuff (4391) - Indiana, USA - NOV 15, 2014
Rated on 01-26-2013 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a medium sized white head that mostly diminishes, transparent yellow body, soft carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is grainy malt and light hops. The flavor is grainy malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. This beer lacks character and has a very weak aroma and flavor. This is a beer that I will not seek out again.

Pours one finger of head on a clear light straw body. The aroma is clean grains and lemon. The taste is moderate lemon bitterness. Fine enough. The texture is smooth and crisp. Pretty enjoyable.

The best ... Hands down! Perfect for any Texas heat. I love the color, look, taste & the way it feels washing down my throat. I like the fact there’s no strong "after bite" like with the original, but Beck’s willaalways be #1, \m/

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: half finger white head, straw color, clear, no lacing. Aroma: caramel, wheat, light malts, pilsner hops. Palate: light body, average and crisp carbonation, thin to cloying sweet texture. Taste: sweet caramel malt and wheat that lasts. Slightly cloying. Overall, nothing amazing or enjoyable really, but pretty good for an InBev of this style. Actually drinkable.
