a slightly sweet lager, this has a low overall rating, but the pint i had in the globe bar beside baker st station was one of the best pints of beck i have had.

Golden and poured with a medium head that soon dissapears.A slightly stale taste even though well within the best before date. A not very inspiring baby brother to the regular Becks, which isn’t saying much.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2008 For me it is a no brainer if I am on a good old bevvy session and I have the choice between Becks (Becks Vier) and other massed produced pale lagers. Easy to sink and no hangovers due to lack of artificial crap. It serves a purpose. for me. Must be cold and not for those times I want a nice session of tasty ale, but lets me get drunk when required on an all nighter with mates. Yes , it’s not the most highly flavoured, but means a LONG session is possible. I am one who DOES like ’original’ Becks.

Another light pale lager. Sweet aroma and flavour, makes this a simple refreshing lager. Cleaner taste than the usual pap you’ll find on tap, but nothing special.

Softly malty nose with a good dose of peppery hops. Very puffy and smooth in the mouth with grate of carbonation. A low-fi dryness sits on the tongue after the slippery caramels have made their way though.

Not that bad actually. Insulting if you think this is a legit German Pilsener, but it does have a aroamtic and lightly hopped profile .

Draft at The Spaniards on the Heath. Light grassy aroma. Pale golden color with a white head. Medium body with soft, fizzy carbonation. Smooth, slightly fruity hop over pale malt.Clean and refreshing. A good tasting lager. The bitter builds up nicely.
