COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

16oz canned version: This is a good German Pilsener-Euro lager, and in some ways, its slightly better than Heineken and Stella Artois. Even though this is the American version, its still good. I Paid only $3.99 for a 4pk of pint cans, absolutely no skunkiness and tasted nice and fresh. The best thing about this is there’s no corn and no rice adjuncts.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- smells skunky, the green glass curse has struck again. Appearance – A golden yellow with a very small white head. Taste- skunky Palate- A medium to light bodied beer with moderate carbonation Overall- I have had this beer before when it was fresh and it tasted better, but it is not a world class beer either way.

From bottle. Delicious initial flavour on first sip, then it all goes bit watery for the rest of the bottle.

Tomada en Cerveceria Kraken Es lo esperado. Suave, refrescante, con escaso sabor, simple. Producto alemán estilo Heineken. Rubia, de espuma blanca. Recomendable para el verano y la sed. No recomendable para cerveceros hechos a sacar aromas a lupulo, tostado y madera. No tiene nada, cerveza comercial, ...

Keg (Zum Schiffchen, Dusseldorf)
Fresh light lager malts and gently floral hops, maybe a bit papery. Crisp palate, slightly sweet malts, again, floral hops. Nice thirst quencher.

Bottle at comfort hotel in Bremerhaven. Clear golden with white head. Smell is grain and a little lager yeast. Taste is crisp grain with light citrus and light bitter finish. Dry with low bitterness and medium carbonation.

I don’t know why people knock Becks so much. This is another one of my "Old School" beers......stuff that I first started drinking. But Beck’s....that is going WAAY back, to like pre-high school...probably the first beer I started drinking now that I am thinking. Maybe I am biased towards it, but I never disliked this beer. Still prefer the dark, but the regular is a pretty good average beer. PLUS, it’s German. It may not be that great for a German beer, but compared to the domestic piss they have here, I’d take a Beck’s any day or night. I don’t find it too skunky neither.
