COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Your average German beer. There are better choices.

Well, it’s better than Heineken.

Not bad, but there is so many better brands of beer out there, that this is not really worth the trouble unless you’re into buying their big bottles. Wouldn’t kick it out of bed, but wouldn’t invite it in either.

The green bottle has struck again...Yuck! Foul, decaying brocolli aroma is the worst thing about this beer, making it almost unbareable to drink (unless holding your nose...but how ridiculous is that!?). Taste not quite as offensive, but...ah, why even bother? SKUNKED. Normally I wouldn’t rate a beer I know is tainted and not a true representation of the intended product, however imports in green bottles are different. Because I have roughly a 50/50 chance of buying a spoiled bottle, a rating is warranted.

Fairly clean, lightly hopped, fair balance. I’ve gotten a few that were slightly skunky though, probably 1 out of 3 bottles.

Not an interesting beer: not good, not bad

A rather boring north-german pils.
