COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

standard international lager. Use of noble hops is evident. It is crisp and clean and uninteresting

What? I never rated this? I end up drinking it often enough... This is more or less a textbook lager, losing many points for its very inoffensiveness.

Not bad. Had a better flavor and mouth-feel than many of the 6.99 a six pack microbrews I've had. (This was 9.99 for 12 cold bottles) Slightly bitter finish/aftertaste but it had a richer character than a lot of other beers I've had. I'd like to try this on draft sometime

The Bud of Germany. Has a skunky smell and slightly bitter taste. Reminds you of the mass marketed Canadian beers.

Pale yellow with a light body and moderate bitterness. High carbonation with floral hop and pale malt flavors. Refreshing, but not impressive. Kinda like the Budweiser of Germany.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2003 Golden colour, decent head. Light hoppy aroma. the flavour is hoppy and dry. A standard low-price German pilsener.
