COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Golden, white head. Malty aroma. Malty taste, medium to low sweet. Low bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation. Boring and below average.

Old rating. Drank from the bottle. Slight hop aromas with a hint of pear present. No taste to speak of. Fizzy, carbonated slightly sweet on the palate. Dry finish. I guess it would be refreshing on a hot day, just devoid of any flavour.

Medium foam, yellow color. Aroma of hops. Surprisingly non bitter. Average industrial lager. Easy to drink, but nothing special.

Bottle from Shakespeare Hotel, Bedford. Bright yellow, heavily carbonated. Heavy lemon scent. Pleasant. Bittersweet citrus taste. The carbonation is too heavy, still quite acceptable though.

From can. Industrial lager. Hardly any taste at all. Not worth the money or the time.

Flaska från SB. Blek, klar halmgul färg med liten vit skumkrona. Svag, söt, maltig doft. Lätt, fadd malt smak med litet inslag citrus. Väldigt klen beska.

Flaska systembolaget. Gyllenfärgad klar vätska. Brödig sötaktig doft. Klen småbrödig smak. Konstgjord med lite majs. Vattnig och trist

Bomber pours a pale golde/straw with a large white head. Grassy slightly skunked hop aroma. Mellow light caramel malt with light grassy hops. When my grandpa wouldn’t spring for Pilsner Urquell he’d get this, no comparison but drinkable.

A couple of pre-review notes. I’ve noticed mostly European reviews on this, not a lot of American reviews, which prompted me to double check. Yep, it’s the right beer. I noticed a lot of reviews mentioned freshness in their reviews. I’m guessing this is Julian dated, and if so, this bottle is about 5 months old.. Not too fresh, but not too bad considering.... It pours with a thin head. It seemed to pour heavier than a lot of beers. Not a lot of lacing, but even after several minutes, lots of bubbles rising from the bottom. It does have a pretty spicy aroma, hoppy, fresh. It screams, ’Drink me!!" It is very clear and clean, it looks like a light beer. The beer is 5 months old. No, I don’t taste skunky. It is bittersweet, hoppy, spicy. It finished slightly bitter though. The bitterness lingers. It’s pleasant. It’s tricky on the palate. The mouthfeel is slightly heavy but the spicy aroma makes it more bold than it really is. It’s different, but it’s the two are conflicting. Overall, it’s better than most. I like it, but no so much that I’ll make it a habit. It reminds me somewhat of Corona.
