Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

It pours a very pale yellow color with great clarity and a tall fizzy white head. The head faded fast and left behind no lace. The aroma had a light skunky aroma over light floral and grassy hop notes. There was a delicate grainy malt with some floral hops that finished on a skunky note. Its palate was thin with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation.

50cl can. Pours clear golden with a fast diminishing head. Aroma moderate malty with notes of hay. Flavor has malty and metalic notes and a light bitterness.

Pours clear golden with a white head. The smell is hoppy with hints of citrus and sweat. Tastes like an ordinary pilsner. A bit watery and sweet though.

Reviewed from notes. I poured this into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a very clear yellow color with fast rising carbonated bubbles filling a rapidly dissipating head. The head was about less than a quarter finger’s worth. There was barely any lacing. The smell was pretty skunky and grassy. The taste was once again skunky. The palate, well, that was about a light to medium with a decent sessionability running over my mouth and tongue. The carbonation is somewhat harsh but not overly done. Overall, this was not a bad Euro Pale Lager for the style, however, that skunkiness just doesn’t cut it for me. One and done for this guy.

Can, from who knows where. Whilst watching Britains Got Talent. And if that doesn’t warrant drinking a can of Beck’s, then I don’t know what does. Muck. But quite enjoyable muck...

330ml green bottle with a foil collar, label featuring artwork reminiscent of the coat of arms of Bremen, poured into a lager glass. Appearance is clear pale golden, with a small white head that reduced quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma of grains and wheat bread. Flavour of whole-wheat bread and a hint of lemon zest. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is light bodied, thin texture and average carbonation. A simple uncomplicated lager, no noticeable off flavours, it’s okay.

Heineken’s less skunky cousin. What else can you say. It is slightly more tolerable, but you never need to try it again.

Pale yellow color with little white and compact that does not persist too much time. Flavoured with malt hops, which gives it an interesting bitterness on the aftertaste. Dry and balanced finish.
