COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

16 oz can pours a clear golden color with quickly vanishing 2-finger white head and a little lacing. Not much to smell. Aroma has grass, malt, and some weak floral hops. Body is light to medium with average carbonation Taste is netiher sweet nor bitter, Mouthfeel is crisp. There’s nothing offensive and nothing great about this one. After trying this many times, I still wish I could find a cheap American macro lager as good as this.

Ljust gul öl med vitt ganska snabbt försvinnande skum. Klassisk lätt lager både i doft och smak.

Pint at Dice bar in Dublin. Clear amber body with a small white head. Malty with a brief bitter finish. Pretty flavorless.

Can. Pours clear pale straw with airy white head. Faint aroma of hops. Thin, hoppy and grassy flavour. Watery aftertaste. Nothing to write home about.

Aug 2012 bottle - another lager on a long list. All lagers taste good and are easy drinking, and this is no different. Can be difficult to differentiate sometimes. Run of the mill, certainly nothing wrong with it but not as good as some of the top lagers I’ve had.

In a way this brew epitomises this style of green-bottle pseudo-authentic lager: it’s clean, simple, unadventurous and boring, but definitely not offensive. Refreshing on a hot day. This is a bit better than most mainstream slosh, though, simply because the flavour is not as empty/hollow in the middle. The taste, light though it is, travels very linearly from front to back, not favouring any particular part of the tongue. You could do a lot worse than this.
