COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours golden, minimal white head. Aroma was grassy and corn. Taste was better than the aroma, crisp.

50 cl from tap@Fat Albert’s, Soldeu in glass mug@approx 6 degrees C. Pours clear golden yellow with large white head with good retention. Malty aroma with a hint of German hops. More flavor than most mass produced lagers with a pleasant balance between hops and malt, sweetness and a quite pronounced bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation and not truly interesting, but raises it’s head just a little over your standard Euro pils - daring to display its German roots - especially in the aftertaste.

Pours clear yellow with a thick white head. Crisp, malty aroma is typical though pleasing. Malty flavor is about what one expects from a standard lager. Fizzy mouthfeel features average viscosity. Fine for a party.

33 cl, bottled. 5 % alc. Pours clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma: Malt, grains. Notes of grass. Taste: Medium+ sweet. mild taste. Malty flavour, bread and grains. Notes of some bitterness. Palate: Light body, notable carbonation. Unfortunately the body feels slightly oily, decreasing sharpness. Ok pale lager.

500ml can poured into a lager glass. Pale with white fizzy head. Strong hoppy aroma. Has a nice clean hoppy flavor but too much carbination. Not a bad beer but not a favorite.

Really enjoy the stronger hop and aroma of this lager. Has more flavour then the usual offerings in this category such as Stella or Heineken.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2016 ThIs is a re-rate. I had it on tap. The aroma is cleaner than most beers of the style. There is not much to it though. The flavor is slightly sweet corn, malt, and barley. It is carbonated with a clean and dry finish. It is decent for what it is.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, hay and hint of metal. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with an average bitter, grainy and fruity finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is fizzy.

For a Euro lager, Beck’s beats Heineken hands down. It’s a gentle beer, only slightly hoppy, somewhat sweet, even a tad light in mouthfeel. The aroma is a little stale but not to skunky like Heineken usually is. It is basically the same brewed in St. Louis USA than it was in Bremen, Germany. It’s okay, nothing special though. Pretty much your average Euro lager.
