Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Archiwum. W aromacie słodowe, pustawe. Piwo barwy złotej, piana niska. W smaku nic się za bardzo nie dzieje prócz lekkiej słodowości z rachityczną goryczką. Nie ma co pisać.

I can’t say much about this beer. Its an average macro brewed bland beer. Its a beer that is bland and leaves you wanting more. No wonder I never see anyone drinking this beer.

33cl bottle at Hotel Comtes de Challant in Fénis, Italy (7 V 2016). Golden yellow, rather pale too with a diminishing collar on top. This brew is a very basic lager, almost pilsner styled (therefor it is called a premium lager - I guess). Medium carbonised, easy too drink, yet very dull. With a clear balance of malts, bitterness and water. Nothing noteworthy, I’m afraid.

Another unwanted pub-quiz prize. What you can say about Beck’s is that it doesn’t have any unpleasant flavours but that’s at the cost of having almost no flavour at all. If I were to really try I would say a little hint of apple and a very short finishing bitterness, but that’s it and I really had to struggle for those. OK if your water supply has been cut off...

Bottle to shaker glass, pours clear golden. One finger quick white head which leaves no lace with minimal retention. Aroma of noble hops and a little skunk. Taste is moderately malty sweet with some grassy bitterness. Light bodied, lively carbonation, slick mouth feel. Finishes dry. Drank a lot of these back in the 80’s. Better than most American pale lagers but that’s not saying much!

Bottle - light clear yellow / straw. High initial carbonation giving large frothy head. Ok mouthfeel. Sweet slightly banana aroma .Only mild tasting - slightly bready - banana. Easy drinking - not fizzy as many lagers.

Historic rating, had a ’few’ of these over the years when there was nothing else on offer... Pale gold, small white head. Light hop and malt aroma. Light body, thin texture. Has done well for itself.

It’s a classy german pils, minimal white head. Aroma corn. Color golden, Taste was better than the aroma lightly bitter.
