Pours clear lager-yellow. The head is tall and of medium lifetime, no lacing. It doesn’t have a particularly complex nose to offer, but it is solidly noticeable with cereal notes from the malt, mixed with the grass and light cannabis from the hops. It has a faint acidity on the front palate, from which the mid palate is barely distinguishable, then it proceeds to reveal the simple, metallic-bitter contribution from the hops. The finish is rather short, the heat from the alcohol is weak. The medium to lively carbonation offers a decent texture. Inoffensive, trivial, boring.

Bottle. Yellow beer with small head. Aroma is of cereal grain. Taste is cereal grain and floral. Drinkable for a lager, at least it has some taste.

La première bière que j’ai pris. Couleur jaune avec un col mousseux moyen blanc. Nez de houblon plus ou moins agréable. Pour une première bière commercial s’en était une pas si pire, mais en revenant en arrière ce n’est pas une très bonne bière.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
The overall aroma for this was weaker than most, but a light mixture of hops. The taste was an odd mixture of grasses and other hops. Not pleasant at all.

On tap at a random restaurant in Villa Borghese, Roma, august 18th 2013. Pale yellow body with a big white head. Weak malty aroma with grass and hay, taste of grassy hops and cereal, with a nice bitterness. Bittersweet light finish.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear medium-light amber with a frothy bright white head that takes several minutes to drop down, mottled bands of lace. Other raters didn’t note that there is an aroma of adjuncts in this brew. The taste also reveals more grains than malt. I distinctly remember having Beck’s several years ago, noting that it had a sulfurous overtone and distinct floral hop bittering, similar to Pilsner Urquell. Even though this isn’t a pilsner, it still has neither, which makes it a weak contender. Too bad.

I had this at a wedding. Pours clear gold with a white head. Taste slightly sweet, crisp. I thought this was pretty good. I would drink this again.

Nice beer, very smooth drink. I’ve had several lagers from draft and the people at the restaurant made sure it was in top condition!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
As lagers go, this is a very good choice. Pours with a clear golden color and is topped with a medium foamy head. Aroma is malty where grains are dominant. The taste is therefore initially slightly sweet, followed by a pleasant bitterwsweet body finishing with a slight bitterness. Similar to other lagers, but there is more taste present here. Refreshing and tasty, it’s Beck’s.

Pilsner style and smell...not too bad though because very low hop taste...mostly malt
