Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2013 Hoppier, crisper, and more bitter than most mainstream American beers. Clean, straightforward, orderly. Not as complex as most German pilsners. A very strong metallic quality is what I find most off-putting about this beer. Still enjoyable though. It’s not a beer I ever buy, but I enjoy it when it is available at parties and there aren’t more appealing options.

Really enjoy the stronger hop and aroma of this lager. Has more flavour then the usual offerings in this category such as Stella or Heineken.

I had it from the bottle. The aroma is cleaner than most beers of the style. There’s not much to it though. The flavor is slightly sweet malt. It’s carbonated with a clean finish. It’s okay.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, hay and hint of metal. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with an average bitter, grainy and fruity finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is fizzy.

For a Euro lager, Beck’s beats Heineken hands down. It’s a gentle beer, only slightly hoppy, somewhat sweet, even a tad light in mouthfeel. The aroma is a little stale but not to skunky like Heineken usually is. It is basically the same brewed in St. Louis USA than it was in Bremen, Germany. It’s okay, nothing special though. Pretty much your average Euro lager.

Pours golden with medium white head. Hoppy nose. Aromas are sweet malts, herbal hops. Average carbonation, light body. Medium bitter finish. Quite enjoyable for an industrial lager.

A nice lager, that has a pleasant balance between freshness and bitterness.

33cl bottle at The Kings Oak, Loughton, UK on 27-Dec-2015. Drank straight from the bottle. Light body and medium carbonation. Taste of grain, malt and lightly hopped. A little sweet and low on flavour.
