Commercial Description:
Our original Beck's is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Not too bad but I’ll stick with American and English beers that have some taste and body.

Pale yellow pour with diminishing frothy head. Hoppy aroma and grainy start leading to skunky finish. Best of the rip off ’premium’ beers found in English pubs. Which says nothing.

Glass, 20 ounces, draught, at Daniel O’Connell’s on August 15 2008; eye: golden, average effervescence, clear, tiny white head, nice lacing; nose: grainy malt, light hops, small unknown unpleasant odour; mouth: caramel malt, bitter hops, layer of caramel throughout the sip, unknown unpleasant taste that corresponds to the odour, finale in malt with caramel (that will eventually become cloying) and a bit of refreshing hops, medium body, lightly grainy texture, average carbonation, mildly sweet and bitter; overall: not as good as I recollect FRANÇAIS Verre, 20 onces, en fût, bue chez Daniel O’Connell’s le 15 août 2008; oeil : dorée, effervescence moyenne, claire, petite mousse blanche, bonne dentelle; nez : malt granuleux, léger houblon, p’tite odeur inconnue désagréable; bouche : malt caramel, houblon amère, couche de caramel tout au long de la gorgée, saveur désagréable inconnue qui correspond à l’odeur, finale en malt avec caramel (qui deviendra éventuellement toquant) et une p’tite pointe de houblon rafraîchissant, corps moyen, texture légèrement granuleuse, carbonatation moyenne, moyennement sucrée et amère; en résumé : moins bonne que mes souvenirs

Golden color, aroma of skunk, skunky and grassy taste that finishes crisp. Not terrible, but not particularly good either.

On tap at Yankee Stadium. Given that Bud Light seemed to be the only other option in the whole park, this was a welcome sight. Clear light golden pour with a decent bubbly/foamy white head. Grainy cereal taste; a little sweet and a bit of slightly skunky floral hops. Not bad, and refreshingly light. Good for an afternoon ballgame in the sun.
