I first experienced Bedele at a local Ethiopian restaurant and thought it was the perfect accompaniment to my spicy dibs dinner. I’ve had both the regular and the larger bottle size, the latter of which lasted me through the dessert. Slightly cloudy yellow color, malty taste with a subtle hint of honey. Just a great beer to go with any spicy meal.

Cloudy, very opaque. Smells and looks like a nice wheat beer. Taste is malty, with honey and toasted notes. Very good with spicy fare, as Ethiopian food usually is or can be.

330 ml bottle in Sudan. Pours a pale yellow with short head. Aroma has some heavy spices in it that are hard to place, but pleasant. Taste is unlike the aroma and has a slight cardboard taste. Palate ends with some sourness.
