En fût. Verre de 12 oz dégusté diretement à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur de caramel et de boisé. Apparence: La couleur est brune foncée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel et de chêne. Longue durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Présence de caramel en arrière goût. (Rating #3349)

My Bottom Line:
Creamy caramel and fresh oaken notes are balanced from aroma to finish as earthy hops peek through low carbonation. Did he really make a Barrel-Aged Cream Ale that works? I should know by now not to doubt Bedondaine.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the dark brown.
-The nose was pleasant, but perhaps too focused on the oak. Although I must admit that oak was characterful.
-There was nothing complex about this brew, but it remained a very memorable quaffer.
-A little more carbonation would help make this more drinkable; as is, the oak flavors tend to be too prominent.
