Very lacey, OK so-so blond beer. Decent drinkability. Not my favourite in a great lineup.

Drank on tap at the brewpub (with Louis, actually!). Pours godlen/straw, small head, medium persistence, decent lace. Aroma is cereal (big time!!!), alcohol, non-hoppy floral (that’s spelt!), slightly spicy. In bread and hay territory. Taste is again a grain-show off, with some sweets and alcohol. Perfect carbonation, somewhat oily, long and really smooth final. Really dry taste as well. (rye!). All in all, a very good offering. Was really awesome to ask Louis about it.

On tap at Bedodaine. The color is honey with a thin beige head. The aroma is grainy and also of citrus fruits. The taste is of buckwheat, barley and rye for all that grain the taste doers not go in that direction, the citrus fruit flavor give it a nice refreshing feeling.

Drank on tap (12 oz) at their brewpub on June 13, 2010. Honey Blonde, thin head. Bodied aroma of malted barley, a touch of honey. Taste of crunchy sweet and cereal, slightly malty, tart seed aftertaste and quite bitter. IMO, the best "Apprenti Brasseur" (apprentice brewer) beers!
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 22, 2006
Lightly spicy, grainy aroma with some notable grassy hop character. Hazy blonde body is topped by a strong and lastin, fine bubbled white head that leaves patchy lacing on the glass. In the mouth the grains are the main feature with fruity esters and floral, herbal hops. Fairly sweet with finishing bitterness and alcohol that take the edge off. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at March in Montreal 2006.

Cloudy dark gold color with a medium diminishing creamy white head. Good aroma of buckwheat, spelt, caramel and hay. The flavor is sweet and dominated by the different grains used, especially buckwheat and spelt. Medium to full body with an oily texture and medium carbonation. Very interesting.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rederic (2326) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2006
Lightly cloudy, honey gold hue, with an off-white head, grainy cereals, pale malt, yeasty note, hint of fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with with a grainy earthy cereals character, sweet pale malt, floral citrusy hops, with a shy citrus fruits note, and producing a little alcoholic buzz, leading towards a sweet faintly hoppy finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6340) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 18, 2006
Any first impressions?
-A tight head produces fine lacing around the misty, very pale, golden.
-Grainy alcohol, timid but well-structured, first greets the nose.
-Delicate honeyed maltiness and soft cereal character use the alcohol warmth to their advantage.
-The usual smooth, effortless, well-nourished Bedondaine mouthfeel can be found here.
What if you dig deeper?
-The aroma bulks up with time, showing off those honeyed cereals.
-Hay and faintly citrusy, grassy hops follow the cereal in the flavor spectrum.
-Alcohol is well-positioned, not absent, but never bothersome.
-Honey sweetness and pils-like malt doughiness rise once again in the finish.
-By far the most successful of the 3 °brewed by the waiter/waitress° concept beers to have come out so far.
On tap at the brewpub.
